Covid + the day we got home

I don't think DCL has ever done contact tracing for illness not identified onboard. While I understand the intent - as a business policy I can also understand how they can't interrupt operations (i.e. quarantine CMs) based off a test result they can't confirm.

OP, I hope your family members recover soon.
See post #2. Disney apparently did do contact tracing and contacted people at home after their cruise. No idea if they still do it.

That was 2020 before the shutdown and very different rules in place. To my knowledge they have not done so since the restart.

Not sure I follow you. Everyone I know who has had covid has had symptoms on day 2 after being exposed.

BIL tested positive when he got home from the airport. So he was positive on the plane ride home after testing negative the day before they left the DR.
When I had Covid, my symptoms started 2 days after exposure.

My son was pretty sick when we got off the Wonder in April. Bad cold. He did not test. Sometimes a cold is just a cold.

There is a forum I follow and there have been recent cruises where quite a few people have tested positive after returning home. Just something to consider as very few mask while onboard as you are in areas with a lot of people within a small area

Also don't expect someone with symptoms to go get tested while on onboard for fear of being quarantined
