With the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccine in the up-coming months, do you see WDW requiring proof of vaccination before entering any of their parks?

Another no from me, I'm sure there are a number of people who can't get vaccines for medical reasons.

That's generally just a reminder of when to get the second shot, and the type of vaccine used (you can't mix Pfizer with Modera, for example).

Since they haven't really approved the vaccines for use on children under 16, I'm not sure that would be a winning strategy - no kids allowed at Disney?

No, because some people can’t be vaccinated. It’s more likely they will pu a disclaimer on all hotel reservations, ADR’s, park tickets and AP’s that you can not hold Disney liable if you get sick during or after you are on their property. And maybe that they can ask you to leave with no refund if you show any sign of illness.

They're already doing that now. Part of the reservation system includes guests signing off on a disclaimer about COVID-19 risks and that the guest will not hold Disney liable should anyone get sick.

I've gone to a Six Flags park several times in the last year after COVID-19 became a concern. Once they went to reservations, they included this message on every reservation:

Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. The CDC advises that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from Coronavirus. Guests should evaluate their own risk in determining whether to attend. People who show no symptoms can spread Coronavirus if they are infected, any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to Coronavirus. By coming to the park, you acknowledge and agree that you assume these inherent risks associated with attendance.​

Allergies sneak up on you and you have a sneezing fit (or causes your nose to run)?
Just walked from the front of the park to the back and are out of breath?
Do you want them to install thermal imagers throughout the park to make sure no one is running a fever?

Well yeah, of course. But under the wild scenario where they would ask anyone with symptoms to leave, they might have to pull out all the stops to keep people from masking those symptoms.

Disney does not require vaccination for anything else, so I can't imagine this ever being a requirement.

My husband, daughter, and I all work in the medical field. The vaccine is being offered to employees, but it is not required. (And these are large hospitals where you will be suspended/fired if your flu shot or TB test are overdue)

Yes, there's not a centralized vaccination record system that they could look you up in and there isn't anything "official" that you would receive as proof. Everyone would just have to bring a copy of something from their doctor's office or clinic which would be very easy to forge by changing the name or adding an extra line listing a vaccine that wasn't actually received.

You say this as though it's completely ridiculous, but I thought they already were taking temperatures. I've been way out of the loop on Disney's policies and practices, so maybe that is not the case. My parents were there in September and I really thought I remembered them mentioning temperature checks.

I recently travelled to Mexico and they were taking temperatures everywhere (restaurants, parks, tours, hotel, etc). And, yes, they had thermal imagers at the airport with people monitoring them.

I know they're checking temperatures at park entrances. But after walking around in the sun for hours, I'm guessing everyone's temperature will be raised. And, unless you're going to do the checks at every ride/store/restaurant, you're not going to catch people. Is that practical?

They can't require it yet while under EUA, once it is fully approved they could like the flu shot.
