Stayed here May 8-12. Got a great price but probably wouldn't stay here again. We had a suite and all the suites are located in the back of the hotel which was a walk to the lobby. They stuck us in the corner and when we asked for extra towels from the maid we never got them, this was every day. Our kitchenette had little ants by the sink all the time, and the pool by us wasn't heated so we went to the main pool and the hot tub was filled half way with leaves in it and there weren't any pool towels left. This definitely wasn't a place for kids.

UGH! We stayed there last May since we had so many reward points to use. It was gross. When we arrived there was hair in the bed and the bed sheets did not have fold creases in them, we HIGHLY suspect they were not changed. The maid came up, picked the hair off and asked if that was good?!?! Ummm... NO! They sheets were chnaged and the room was re-cleaned when the manager came up. I suspect the only reason the manager came up is becuase DH is a big corporate traveler as they could tell by his point level. Manager gave us most ofr our points back but we'll never stay there again.

We went in April and had a regular 2 Queen room, we found our room to be very nice and clean and were actually plesantly surprised. Never used the pool or hot tub. We probably won't go back just because of how congested it got right on the main road directly outside of the hotels- it took us 45 mins. to make it from the hotel enterance to the main road one evening :headache: . Maybe it was just because it was a busy time of year, but that was a major headache.

That is gross about the ants and dirty sheets.

I agree-it was an unqualified disaster. We had a free week from Marriot points a few years ago-what a waste. Noisy, dirty, dangerous neighborhood-could hardly get out of the parking lot sometimes. Never again-we'll stick with the Cypress Harbour-Grande Vista-Horizons rotation.

Very suprised to read these complaints, we stayed for 25 nights last August and was best place we have stayed, clean, plenty parking, felt safe, never a problem with traffic. We were at back but in 25 nights no reason to walk to lobby so that was no problem.
Liked it so much booked again for 25 nights this August (8 nights in suite then 17 night std room) Hope we dont find its gone downhill since last year.:confused3

Are you talking about same hotel?
Just looked on trip advisor which usually has critical reviews on bad hotels. On first page all but 1 rate it 4/5 or 5/5 and overall on 70 reviews it gets 4.5/5

This one does not get quite as good a rating at Marriott village and the traffic is horrendous getting out of here.

I stayed there one week ago on points, we had two suites for 8 people (the suites were an upgrade from what we had reserved), both rooms were very clean, beds comfy, great check-in. The hotel itself is fairly large, but even from the back (we had a view that overlooked the pool) it wasn't that big a deal to get to the front lobby---no worse than several other Marriotts I've stayed at recently. We didn't have time to swim, so can't comment on the pool/hot tub.
