girl Coco. Well it's a little better than Apple! Maybe she combined the first two letters of her name COurtney COx. If that is the case my DD should have been named Kake. Anyone else?

You know what would be a pretty name for a girl? Cotton Candy. I mean you always hear that girls are made of sugar and spice well what has more sugar than Cotton Candy? Nothing. So if you want to make sure all little girls continue to be made up of the sweet stuff, stop by the Fair Food poll and vote for Cotton Candy. Tell them Courtney and Coco sent you.

Jeff

My DD would have been LaBo:teeth: if I used my maiden name like Courteney Cox...or LaMa if I used my married name:p

Coco Arquette does have a nice ring to it and it sounds great if she goes into showbiz, a unique and catchy name. Hope she doesn't choose to be a stripper or porn star though, the name might work well for that too!

God help that child on the playground.......

Imagine her first school play when she gets to sing "Puff the Magic Dragon...." Or, God Forbid, she marries a man who's last name is Puff or ANY thing that sounds like it. Of course, on the reverse, she could marry a Chanel - and then she could be the new heirss to the "Coco Chanel fortune". Any thoughts on this....or other ideas:smooth:

I think I had read somewhere that Courtney had wanted to name the baby Courtney if it was a girl but hubbie David Arquette nixed the idea.. so maybe they agreed on Coco as a compromise....

I agree Coco Arquette does have a ring to it...I thought it was odd at first but when you say it out loud it sounds ok

I have a great therory on naming kids... I think you should go to your front door and be able to holler your childs name without problem.... LOL.. That is how dh and I decided on

MIIIICHAELLLLL
JAAA COOOOBBBB
CAAAAMMMMEEEOOOO

Silly goose!

Oh brother! First Apple and now Coco? Sorry but when I hear Coco, I think hot coco. Or coco Pebbles cereal. I may be in the minority, but Coco doesn't have a nice ring, and it's a name that kid will never live down! What's wrong with hollywood and these baby names recently?

I like unique names, but come on!

Mine would have been kado, or doka.. no wait, I have that with both parents names- with just my mothers mine would have been Moka.
Hey, if pronounced mocha that wouldn't have been bad. LOL

I'm wondering when Chanel will be making her Hollywood appearance. Interesting theory you have there. If I had a child and used that naming tool then it's name would be 'Rewe' LOL Poor child. If my parents used that naming tool then I would be 'Mawe'-interesting, sounds African. My brother's name would be Jowe LOL

I DO NOT like Coco at all. I guess I though that she would have come up with a cuter name.

I couldn't stop laughing when someone said "WHAT IF SHE MARRIES SOMEONE WITH THE LAST NAME PUFF?" :hyper:

Gosh, that's funny.

My name would be HESC. Sounds Arabic. :D Or like I'm sneezing

I think it's a charming name!!! (but I'm a bit different, so that's no real surprise.) :p

If we are perscribing with the first last letter thoery I would have been

CiKo

Now thats scary! (It reminds me of the Peter Gabriel song Biko...)

Poor Michael would've been IsRo or RoIs... whichever rolls off the tongue better... :p

I kind of like Coco, though it sounds more like a stripper's name than anything else!

Oh boy that would NOT have worked with my daughter......the first to letters of my first name are GA the first to of my last name are SH.....not a pleasant name to be called is it????

Yup I'm sure the other posters are right.

Courtney wanted to name the baby Courtney if it was a girl. She was named after her mother and wanted to keep tradition. David was the one that was not crazy about it. So I'm pretty sure that CoCo was a compromise.

I personally don't think it's *that* bad! I kinda like it. :D

I am so disappointed in a fellow Alabamian. She should have given her a good southern double name like Ula Mae or Daisy Mae or something good like that. (ha ha) A friend of mine was talking with one of her friends that is expecting and they were discussing names after Apple was born. She like Squash if they wanted to stay with the fruits and veggies but I told her Zuccini would be a really good and different name. It reminds me of on Seinfeld when George wanted to name a kid Seven. Maybe that is where they got the idea.

You have got to name kids something that isn't going to get their butt beat on the playground.

Wait - so that means I can name my first daughter Jema?

funny enough - my mother wanted to name me Gemma when I was born.

I so would have been beaten up. Remember that cartoon in the early 80's? Jem and the Rockstars?
