Just wondering if anyone has seen any good coupons for any of the places in DTD? Rainforst? Trex ? I did see on resturant.com that you can get the gc for shulas house of blues bluezoo and garden grove. Any of these deals worth getting the GC?? TIA!!!!

you can get kids meals for .99 at rainforest cafe by doing their reading program - you print out the calendar you want and mark it for the days they read and take it in to the rainforest.

actually there's other rewards - not just reading...toothfairy, sports, etc...

As long as you read the fine print. We have one of those certificates for House of Blues. We spent $2 to get a $25 certificate, but the minimum order is $35. They do automatically add gratuity to the pre discounted bill. I can't imagine us not spending $35 anyway, so it can be a nice savings.

If you are willing to go across the street, sign up on Sweet Tomatoes and Fuddruckers website and get coupons. If you are willing to travel down the road a few blocks, Goiordanos Pizza also has coupons on restaurant.com.

We used the one for HOB last time we were there and it was good!

eta.: wow!! you're not kidding about being up early - i just noticed your posting time :rotfl:

we enjoyed HOB (using the GC) so much last oct, i just bought another for our trip next week, and plan on getting one for this oct also :)
we also had one for outback steak nearby, which wound up not being the outback we all know. after taking almost an hour to find the place (the website directions were poor, and they told me it was in DTD when i called. the restaurant is actually across the street, allllll the way around the back of a hotel), they were closed for seasonal hours, again not noted on the website. it didn't look too clean (the closed entrance) anyway, so we didn't bother going back.
we also used il mulano at the swolphin: upscale and rather expensive. it was a nice night out for DH and me, but i don't think most kids would like it. the presentaion and service were outstanding, but the food was just good.

garden grove looks like it would be a good choice for a character meal, especially as there aren't too many discounts on those:)
we haven't been to shulas - it is pricey but i've never seen anything except raves for the restaurant so we will prob try it at least once.

btw, giodano's is currently sold out of the $25 certs.....hopefully, they'll restock before we leave next sunday:banana:

and the current 80% discount code is EASTER, if anyone needs it :)

You guys are awesome!!!! I knew this was the place to ask! I wanted to go to the garden grove but it looks like the resturant.com gc excludes the charater buffet:sad2:. So I am looking into the landrys options and I also know that at planet hollywood you get 10% with AAA. So that is exciting!!! Im getting somewhere lol!

i would love to go to giordanos. any idea how far it is from downtown disney and how to get there? we are staying onsite with no rental car.

just went on restaurant.com now. they have a new one for the Giraffe Cafe at the Royal Plaza Hotel. the menu looks really good. still would love to go to giordanos tho.

I just did this thank you so much!!!! My kids LOVE rainforst!!!!!!!!

I have never heard of restaurant.com before! Wow, great savings! Thanks for the heads up everyone ... guess we'll be able to try some new restaurants this trip.

A little OT: if I order a gift certificate for Shula's, can I also use the Tables in Wonderland card? Thanks in advance! Also, do the GCs have an expiry date? Could I order them now for our trip in November??

If you have an entertainment book, try their website - www.entertainment.com There are coupons there for some of the quick service places like Wetzels Pretzels. Paradiso 37 is also on there. We have the online membership ($20/yr), and that lets us print any entertainment coupon for anywhere in the country. It pays for itself very quickly if you travel a lot.

When staying at the Dolphin/Swan last year, I purchased $25 GC from restaurant.com and founds that the Garden Grove, the sushi place and italian place were worth it. Shulas and Blue Zoo were way overpriced so I didn't use those certificates.

We used the one for House of Blues. We really enjoyed our meal there.

We used a restaurant.com gc for the HOB and really liked it. So we bought another one for our upcoming trip in January.:cool1:

Also Giordano's is not for delivery, dine in only.
