Coupons for Chex Cereal?

With the holiday season approaching, I am thinking about the Chex party mix I will be making. I use the old fashioned receipe, w/ oil instead of butter and garlic & onion salt instead of powder. I also make large batches, like 1/2 box, at a time. It is something I really look forward to.

Anyway, I am trying to find coupons for the cereal. They do usually put some out in the paper a little later in the season, but I would really like to start buying the ingredients now, so I can buy more and not have to put out so much $$ at once.

I tried on-line at the Chex and General Mills sites and saw nothing in the way of coupons. Maybe I'm being a little picky here, but I am looking for something I can just print out or have mailed to me--I don't really want to have to buy a coupon book.

Have you considered using the store brand of cereal instead of Chex? It tastes the same (at least to us) and is much cheaper, even with coupons for the namebrand.

If you see a coupon for a different GM cereal, read it closely. Sometimes it will picture a certain cereal, but read, "off any GM cereal".

I saw coupons for Chex at the store. You know, in those little blinky things attached to the shelf in front of the item.

2minnies, I do use a lot of store brands, but w/ my "Crunch" (as we call it), I only use the Chex brand. I know it taste the same, but I get picky about it! LOL! I will use store brand nuts and seasoning salts to help on the costs.

yeah, its like Sam's club, or cosco.

sorry i couldn't help ya more if you don't have a bj's nearby. My closest is 1.5 hours but we trek up there to stock up on stuff.
