Side note: We got our tax return back this week and used it to pay off DHs car. He only had 5 more payments but that is one thing off the monthly list of bills.

Also, I don't necessarily stockpile things but I do have a few things that we have "quiet a few extras" of on hand of. DH would call it hoarding but . . . I usually have "extra" Purex liquid laundry detergent, Kotex pads, Dawn dishwashing liquid, and St. Ives Apricot facial scrub. (also the only things we are name brand followers on)

Well about 2 years ago in the summer I did a lot of BOGO, couponing, and CVSing and had quiet a stock of all of these items. BUT now I am down to the last few, if anyone has extra coupons for these items OR know of great sales going on (I'm in the SE so places like Kroger, Food Lion, CVS, Walgreens etc.) I would be extra happy if you could share.

I have got to apologize! I am so sorry! I just found out that my husband did not mail last weeks envie until Saturday. He forgot that he had it. This won't happen again. I promise. I start a new job tomorrow so I will be out every Monday to mail.I am sending a small envie tomorrow.There were no inserts in my paper today.

$79.25 coupons

Did a big shopping trip yesterday and went to 4 stores. I spent a total of $420.15 and saved a total of $209.38 (coupons and sales totaled).
I haven't had savings like this in a very long time.

Also, we shop at Winn Dixie and get the gas rewards. DH used the card when he filled up and only paid .56 cents per gallon. We had accumulated $2.95 per gallon off.

Good morning! A huge envie is going out today to Mikkiwikki!

I send hubby out yesterday to get a paper and reminded him to check for coupons. Of course when he got home and I looked through the paper, there were no coupons and just inserts/advertisements. I went back to the convienent store and traded out for a coupon filled paper. They were nice about the exchange and commented that people steal coupons all the time.

My savings this weekend was $60.25
I had .40 a gallon off of gas with my Safeway card. I also got a free $7 car wash this trip.
I started doing something different to keep myself on track with food costs. I buy a gift card for a set amount on my rewards card. I transfer the amount from my checking to pay it off. I get the rewards points that way. When the amount is gone from the gift card then that is it for the month. Last month I had $28 left so that went into our vacation fund envelope. That is money that we won't miss but will make a big difference when we go on vacation.
