The weather service predicted "about an inch" for us, but we got about four inches of snow yesterday and I had to go to a memorial service last night way over past the Mall of America. Driving was treacherous because the powers that be didn't think it was enough to plow. Well, trying to see the lines on the highways and streets was impossible. I sometimes didn't know if I was in my lane or in the middle of two lanes or whatever. There were spinouts and rollovers all over. Winter can be a real pain....

Oh my! but I thought everyone there owned their own snowplow. The highways here were treated the day before our last dose of weather so the highways were pretty good, except for one 4 car pile up because 2 cars were watching a wreck that 2 other cars had been in and ran right into the 2 cars that had originally just bumped. We will be sure to talk to your department of transportation.

We are doing OK. We were 2 hours late for school Monday. That was a waste of a day because as soon as we got to school it was time for lunch, music class, math, and dismissal. Everything else has been business as usual. I am kind of rural and I commute into work (about 30miles one way). It is crazy, the county that I work in has pretty much thawed out and has next to nothing left on the ground but as soon as you cross the county line into the county I live in there is still about 4 inches of snow on the ground. The roads are OK now, still a little black ice in places but not bad, except that right in front of my house where they plowed the road there is a giant pile of snow right at the end of my driveway. GO FIGURE! We were in the low 40s today and tomorrow should be in the mid-40s but the prediction is a winter mix on Saturday and "flurries" again on Tuesday. Our luck it will be a blizzard.

I think it is pretty funny that not too long ago I was saying how we get so little in the way of winter precipitation and rarely ever get out of school and now we have had at least 6 inches and 2 days out of school.
I am personally ready for spring please. Then good ole' Phil runs from his shadow. By the way- if there are tons of TV cameras with flood lights watching you, wouldn't you always see a shadow? Just my take on the situation. Have a great rest of the week.

Remember how we were talking the other day about how the post can tear up envie's, well mine arrived today from Mic&min and it was ripped. Hopefully the store will take taped coupons. I am so terribly furious with the post right now.

The store should take the taped coupons as long as the bar code is still there and is legible.

Train riders, unless your train buddies have indicated that there's an allergy to tape in their household (I know for sure there's one rider who has a son who is allergic to it), it's a good idea to tape all the seams and edges of the envie before you send it through the USPS torture chamber. Packaging tape works great if it's a thicker envie and "invisible" or a lighterweight Scotch tape works great if it's a thinner envie.

Trying to be a couponer with baby number 2 on the way... proud to say I dropped my bill tonight from $130 to $80. I did have some help.... they doubled all of the online print-out coupons (the less than $1.00 ones) that clearly said at the top DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE. Oh well! It was Weis Markets, FYI.
