Coupon question

Ok...I see posts on other couponing sites for people who buy like 50 of an item, or that many of many items, using about a million coupons and get them for practically free.

Can someone tell me what you do with all this stuff? Where you store it, and where on earth do you get 50 coupons for the same item? I stockpile stuff, but only about a two months supply. I probably buy more than I need of some items, but it is stuff that I will use. But not that much of things I won't use. Do you sell it?

Some couponers get their coupons from taking entire tear-off pads from the shelves in stores.

Others might puchase multiple coupons for the same item from online at eBay or websites that sell their coupon clipping skills as a service.

And still others can get their hands on multiple copies of the Sunday inserts and cut the coupons themselves.

And there are a number of websites where you can choose coupons to print at home.

I've heard of people who sell their almost-free purchases at bi-annual or quarterly garage sales. Others actually give the stuff away. Homeless shelters and the Red Cross can always use toiletries. Couponing for these people is a hobby and the thrill comes from scoring free stuff even if they don't need it.

As for storage, I guess it depends on the space that you have available. Some people are very good at organizing their living space. I was not gifted with that gene. We keep one "spare" of each frequently-used item and when it goes into use, I wait for it to go on sale again before I replace it (unless the need is urgent). The only exception is DH's cereal. He goes through several boxes a week and I refuse to go shopping every other day to buy another box of Kashi Go Lean. I buy 8 boxes at a time when it goes on sale. That stuff is just too darn expensive if I don't.
