If you use a zipper binder to organize your coupons, where to you get the pages with pockets? I know people use baseball pages, but so many coupons now are much bigger than would fit in that size pocket.

I am sick to death of my accordian style pocket system. It takes me forever to find my coupons. I want to switch to the binder method.

I found this: http://www.couponorganizerpro.com/coupon-organizer-product-tour.shtml

And I like it because it is all in one and has different size pockets. Not sure if it a good deal or not.

This one is similar:

Do you think it would be cheaper for me to put my own system together, or buy one of these all in one systems?

Where do you buy the pocket pages??

Thanks!

I am looking to put together a coupon binder too.

A lot of people seem to use the photo album inserts (4 X 6). I believe you could get them at Walmart.

I'll have to look for for the inserts at Walmart. I don't go there that often. I have looked at Walmart for the zippered binders though, and I didn't see them there or at Staples or Target. I definately want a zippered binder to keep everything contained.

I put my own together and got my zippered binder from the childrens place on clearance for $3.00 and the baseball card inserts at the dollar store(or at walmart, usually by one of the registers near the pokemon and baseball cards and such but they probably have them on amazon too.)! I like the baseball ones as I can fit more per sheet. They also have disney binders on disneyshopping.com sometimes!

Do the coupons fit in the baseball card size? Aren't most coupons longer? Or do you fold them?

I put the longer ones in the bottom row, the medium ones in the middle row and the short ones in the top row!:goodvibes

I use baseball card holders too...actually I even have some business card holders. I cut cardstock/index cards to fit the spots because I find it easier to use both front and back of the holder that way and still easily see the coupons. I do fold long coupons. I got my binder on amazon.com I think.

I use the baseball card holders and fold the coupons to fit. It doesn't affect them at all, they scan just fine.

I'm feeling really dumb here ... do you slit the inserts on the bottom or middle rows so stuff fits?

I keep on wanting to coupon but it seems so hard to keep things organized.

The inserts I have are already slit from the top of each one, so you just slide the coupons in the top of each one.:cutie:

I think I'll just have to go to the Dollar Store to see it myself because I can't picture anything except the small card-sized slots. I'm sure I'll have a :headache::rolleyes1:laughing: moment when I see them.

I bought my coupon organizer from http://www.couponmagicorganizer.com/coupon-magic-organizer-binders/ because I thought the quality of the baseball card sheets were sturdier, plus the website offered different sizes that I couldn't find in the store. I probably could have put it together cheaper, but I just could not find some of the sizes that the coupon magic website had. And I really do like the different sizes.

A few years ago I found zippered binders on clearance at Staples for $3.88, but I ended up using a 1inch binder from Staples that I paid .25¢ for during a back to school sale. I just found the zippered binder too bulky to take into the store.

I bought baseball card holders from Staples during a sale too. For the longer coupons, I took a few full page protectors, sliced the front side in the middle, and taped the bottom of the top slit to make 2 pockets.

I then used my label maker to make tabs. The whole thing probably cost $5 and it's held up for 3 years.

I think if I were to do it over, I'd get some CD pocket holders or postcard pocket holders at Staples for the bigger coupons.

I used to do a binder, but one of the reasons it didn't work is because the trading card pockets aren't long enough and are too thin to hold many coupons.

I use legal size envelopes with the flaps tucked and glued inside, and glued together. I can add as many specific categories as I want by adding more envelopes. It holds the longest coupons, expands, and easily sits in the front seat of a shopping cart or in the bottom of my purse. I have it organized by the aisles in my favorite store with tabs and have a section for store coupons and restaurant coupons. Best part is it was $4- 2 boxes of envelopes, tabs, scrapbooking tape from Dollar Tree.

That's what I previously used. It worked, but they kept ripping on me. That's why I went for better quality this time. I want them to last and not have to keep buying them. But the 4x6 size was great.

I used to use the binder system and it drove me NUTS! It was so big and was a pain to take to the store. I ordered a coupon box from www.mycouponkeeper.net and LOVE it!!!! Kristin from Couponing to Disney recommended it. It was around $40, which I thought was a little expensive, but now that I am using it, the cost was worth it to me. You could pick up the same boxes that this organizer is from Michaels. The only thing you wouldn't get are the dividers, but I am sure you could pick up the same ones from any office supply store or find them online. They are plastic, so they hold up real well. That would be cheaper, but I am happy with my purchase! It has made organizing so much easier!!!!!

I use the currency sheets for the larger coupons and catalinas. I got them from ebay along with the baeball card sheets.

They have 3 pockets in them.

I haven't read through the pages of replies so I apologize if this is a repeat, but I just wanted to tell you what I found to be the easiest system for me. I don't cut out the coupons until I need them. Each coupon insert has a date on the "spine" and I keep them in a stack in date order. The coupon/sales matching website I use (now Southern Savers for free, was the Grocery Game for $) lists the coupons by the kind of insert (Red Plum, etc.) and then the date of the insert. With this information I can quickly go straight to the insert I need and clip the coupon I want.

Most coupons in an insert expire at about the same time, but some expiration dates are months after the rest of the coupons. I keep the insert intact until there are maybe 1 or 2 coupons left, and at that point if I think I will use them I clip them and just paperclip them to the next insert.

It isn't particularly pretty, but I can keep it in a drawer or tote bag when I'm not planning my grocery list and it is so much easier than clipping everything each week and then organizing it.

Of course, this assumes you match coupons to a store's sales, and that you make a list before you go instead of doing it on the fly in the store.

I got my pages from momsaves as well. I love the 8 pocket sheets - the majority of my coupons fit in there. The three pocket sheets are also nice for bigger coupons. I picked up my zipper binder from Target.
