That seems like a lot to me. I always mail in a manila envelope (6x9) so I can get them all in one and it's more durable. If I rip off the metal tab it's usually around 60 cents to a dollar unless I really have a lot. Then it's maybe a buck fifty.

Speaking of the metal tab, if you use that kind of envelope, my post office told me that if your envelope is under a certain weight, they charge more for that tab. So rip it off!

Also, I always take mine in to get weighed so I'm not paying more than I have to. One time, it came out really high and I said so, and he checked again for me. He had hit the wrong button and the new total was about 75 cents less than he had told me before. Moral of the story: I guess just know about what it should be each time so you don't get ripped off.

Do you ever type something and then forget what your point was? I think that just happened to me.

Sounds very high to me. The most I've ever paid for postage is .79 if I remember right. My old sender sometimes sent hers in a manila envelope and I don't remember her postage for it ever being more than $1.00. I wonder if they didn't enter something wrong like happened to mybestieismickey. My curiosity would get the best of me and I would have to take it to the post office and have them weigh it again to see if that could have possibly been accurate.

I was out of town on business this week but got home to find another envie from Deffenm. I haven't opened it yet - tomorrow will be coupon day - but I'm sure it's chocked full of coupons that I can use! THANK YOU!!!
