I need for all of you to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. 3 weeks ago I have gall bladder surgery, 2 weeks ago I cut my hand open and now today I broke my foot slipping on my DD4 tinkerbell wings. I am afriad of what will happen next.

wow definately will keep you in prayers.....two good things about all this though 1. you have 6 months to feel 100% for your trip and 2. I have always heard bad things come in 3's so you should have it all taken care of now and be on your way to recovery

take care of yourself...and i can def relate to the tinkerbell wings on the floor...and legos....matchbox cars.....thomas trains...etc...etc....etc....

Amazing deal today in Super Target. Organic strawberries for $1. Yes, the normal-size package. They all looked quite ripe, so I imagine they have cases of them in back and need to get rid of them in the next few days before they go bad. It's probably my best score ever. I bought 2 and we made strawberry shortcakes for dessert. Now I'm thinking I'll go back tomorrow and hope they have some left! For that price I can just freeze a bunch.

Rootskate- Where did the summer go I was late getting your envie out this week sorry the girls go back to school on Monday and I also go back to work on Monday after having the whole summer off so its been hectic your envies 2 of them went out thursday.. Also we are leaving for Disney on 9/11-9/23 so I won't be sending then but I will get you out one on Labor day weekend ok...

Can I blame it on a couple of our riders who just told me they're going to DW soon and are both staying at POFQ? I started daydreaming about a trip to DW and staying there and POOF! DH asked an interesting question. He asked how many people are currently in our train?

His thought was, Is it possible that you could get back a coupon that you orginally started in the train? I told him that I did not think so because it would expire before it made its way through the train. Especially since we only send out one each week.

anyone want my general mills coupons? I am totally disgusted that I may not ever buy one of their products again, or atleast write a scathing letter to the company. Is anyone but me totally in disbelief that they are using Sex to SELL CEREAL?!! Anyone see their new commercials with the guy in the club with the big check mark on his shirt. Come on people. This is Cinnamon Toast Crunch for pete's sake!!!!!! Is this really necessary?!!! Ok, sorry, had to just vent about it. I get so tired of seeing horrible advertising during kids shows, and for products where there is no need to be suggestive with the advertising. Drives me nuts!!!

I just counted us! We are at 67 riders. Tell DH it's very doubtful you will ever get a coupon back that you started on the train route. Coupons just don't usually have long expiration dates on them anymore.

I think I have a tendency to tune out commercials. I don't remember seeing one like you're describing at least. Guess I haven't missed much, eh?

I've seen the commercial and I don't think it's sexually suggestive. It's just some goofy guy with a check mark on his shirt hoping a girl at the club will notice him. Lo and behold, a girl in the club also has a white check mark on her shirt/dress. It's not like you have people hanging all over one another or people in bikini's and speedos.

Cereal isn't just geared toward children. Many adults eat cereal for breakfast or snack on it, so it's not like they're taking a child's item and trying to use "sex" to sell it (even though, like I said, I see nothing sexually suggestive in the commercial)

If they want to do a commercial geared toward kids, they can have a kid in the class with the white check mark hoping the teacher will see him as "the right choice" to call on to answer a question or something.

hmc - my DH asked me the same thing recently. Men.

Need some advice on how to bump up my % savings at the store. Seems no matter how many coupons I use, I can't break the 20% level of savings. I am also including the "shopper club" discounts from my store too.

Does anyone save more than 20% of total bill? How??

I had a nice PM from Sleepy! She's returned to Italy but said she was sick with something the whole time she was back here in the US visiting and still doesn't feel well. She said it isn't the swine flu.

She said the coupons that don't help them at the commissary are as follows:
make up (see below)
hair color
Rubbermaid products
bread products (see below)
clothing (Hanes, etc.)

I am not exactly sure what make up and bread products includes so if she gives me more information about those, I'll let you know. She said they don't get many Rubbermaid or bread products c/o's so those aren't too much of a concern, but she evidentally gets a ton of make up and hair color so please save yourself some postage and her some time and weed those out before you send them since they don't benefit from them.

Sleepy just wrote and here is some more specific info for a couple categories above on what works for them and what doesn't:

Yes: Thomas products (English muffins, bagels, etc.), Pillsbury frozen or refrigerated biscuits/rolls, ChiChi, Mannys, Mission, etc. tortilla shells, lotions, razors, shave cream, make up remover, other beauty products, light bulbs, packing materials, batteries, charcoal, lighter fluid, matches, bug repellant, sunscreen, pet supplies.

No: Sandwich bread (Merita, Sunbeam, Wonder, etc.) and make up such as foundation, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow.
