Couples photo locations

I was looking online for places to take engagement photos (the kind with the marrying, not the battling kind) and only turned up with stock locations like in front of Cinderella's castle with fireworks and poor ISO on your camera or making out on Main Street with people staring at you in the background. Also, lots of looking straight at the camera rather than looking natural (not our thing...) We will definitely be taking some around the Pops hotel we are staying at in our favorite locations and the carousel at MK.

Question: Does anybody know any off-the-beaten-path spots that would make for more personal photos while still capturing that Disney magic? Can be any resort or park.

There's probably a secluded corner or two over on that island (Tom Sawyer?). The train could be nice too. I've seen some nice photos in the Tangled area of the park, but I haven't been to Disney since they put it in so I don't know what the crowds are like.

If you're considering other parks Animal Kingdom has a ton of shady little quiet spots. Hollywood Studios has the whole fake set thing, though that may not be as "Disney" out of context as you might want. There's also the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground that would be a lot of fun. And of course the world showcase in EPCOT is full of pretty little nooks and crannies. I remember finding some secluded and peaceful "rooms" in Morocco with beautiful tiling and, y'know, Paris.

If it were me I'd head of to Coronado Springs because it is absolutely my favorite resort (beats out any of the Deluxe). There's a gorgeous fountain right inside the main entrance and all these romantic hammocks around the lake (lagoon? pond? large puddle?). You could write something sweet in the sand.

I'm sure I'll think of a million more later.

Another location is the bridge heading over to France from England in Epcot. There is sometimes a photopass photographer in the evening and you can get a picture with the Eiffel tower in the background.

If you are staying at Pop Century consider taking the two of you in front of the decade you were born. There are numbers in front and also stylized ones in the back. You do have to walk along the edge of the building to get to the one in the back. The Century Bridge heading over to Art of Animation can also be a beautiful spot

The Boardwalk area outside the International gate from Epcot can work too

I would suggest the Japanese Garden in Epcot, and there are also lovely garden areas in England as well!
Downtown Disney has a lot of water views, and AK Asia is gorgeously themed!...It really depends on what your taste is.

The first two thoughts that came to mind when I read the OP:

One of the trails at AK (Mahrajah Jungle Trek or Pangani Forest Exploration Trail)

or

Port Orleans Riverside - There's horse-drawn carriage rides, gorgeous scenery (river, antebellum mansions, weeping willow trees), cane pole fishing from the dock, bayou pirate adventure (if that's your thing), and you can rent bicycles or a surrey bike.

Wilderness lodge has a totally different feel. Lots of Nook and crannies and lots of trees. Plus there is a geyser! Depending on the vibe you want in your pics you could also go to GF. The gardens are beautiful (that is why the marriage gazebo is over there) inside in the lobby is beautiful and could be some elegant pictures that don't scream disney but are a nod to it.

There was a photopass photographer taking pics of people in AK by the lake with Everest in the background. DH and I got a good one there. You could be looking at each other or Everest instead of staring at the camera. I am not sure about how that spot is with all the construction going on now, though

If you want a pic with you and the castle, without the crowds, try taking one from the bridge between the hub and Liberty Square, or taking the path by the Sleepy Hollow snack shop toward the castle. You may get some nice ones by the new Fantasyland castle walls they built behind the castle, too.

Will you have a photographer with you?
