Couple ?'s about MDE and FP+

This will be our first trip since the MDE and FP+ went into affect and I'm a little confused. We are staying on site and wondering if we have to sign up to MDE? Furthermore what exactly is MDE? Is this what is on the magic bands? Is this the tickets, adrs, rooms, FP+?? Does FP+ now only work with the magic bands or room cards? Do you book those online or what? Just want to make sure I'm doing things correctly before we get there and say "ok, now what?

Yes, you have to sign up for My Disney Experience (MDE). It's a site that allows you to coordinate all of your ticket numbers, reservations and plans in one place (except for our BOG lunch FP, everything was there)

No more room cards -- FP+ works with your MB. You can set those up and change them in MDE as well.

You can use it either on your computer or the phone app. I found it easier to set things up by computer since the app is sometimes glitchy.
