Hi all!
I just have a few questions for you all. I have went on DCL once before but that was in July and my next one is booked for January '04. What can we expect for Temps in Orlando as well as in the Bahamas? What of anything different should we pack than when we went in July? Second, Is anyone here booked in the Jan 4-8 cruise on the Wonder? That is it for now.
Thanks a lot!

It was a lot cooler in both places during our December cruise. Bring a light jacket/sweater with you....just in case.

I have taken a cruise in Jan years back on the Big Red Boat and it was DARN COLD LOL...we wore pants everyday and couldn't even go in the water at the private island...personally I would never cruise in January again because I like it pretty warm when I am cruising. My friend was staying at Atlantis this past Jan and the 4 days they were there was so cold they wore coats and couldn't go swimming so pack for both seasons when you go just in case you get a few warmer days!

Hi!
We are doing a land/sea January 2004. (dh, ds8 and ds4) I am really worried that the weather is going to be completley miserable.
We are from Montana though so maybe your really cold is going to seem so bad to us? Or is this just wishful thinking? ;)

My husbands from Montana and when we were visiting there one March--I thought I was going to freeze to death. You should definitely be able to handle Florida's and the Caribbean's cold compared to Montana!! It can get cold--the lowest I've ever seen the temp. here is the high 20's--with the highs on a day like that in the 40's/low 50's. And the Caribbean would be warmer than that. So you may need a jacket and sweaters. On the flip side I've lived here when it hit the 70's in Jan. Florida's winters are crazy. 65/70 one day and 40 the next. Where in Montana??? Husband's from the Kalispell/Whitefish/Columbia Falls area.

we might have just had a cold spell that week but it was in the 50's when we were there and to me that is NOT what I expected....

Gassmandy....

Your dh is from the best part of the state. It is so beautiful up there. We vacation at Flathead lake for a week every summer.

We are from Billings. Not too pretty here, but I still wouldn't trade it for living in any other place.

We will just hope for a heat wave when we go!

kricket--Good Luck!! One thing is for sure--you'll be getting away from the snow for a week!:p :p

We sailed on Magic in January 2002. The weather was absolutely beautiful. In Orlando, it was in the high 70s. St. Thomas and St. Maartin were in the 80s and Castaway Cay was in the low 80s. We went swimming everyday and at every port. Just make sure you have a light jacket for the eves on the ship. I hope your January cruise weather will be as nice as we had. Have fun!

Thanks for the info everyone! It sounds like We should bring some fall/spring type clothing as well as summer. Of course comming out of Minnesota in the Winter it will seem like summer at 50 degrees!
Thanks again!

We sailed in January 2002...I know Orlando can be cool at that time. On the cruise we had 80 - 85 degree temps the entire cruise. Some said it was a little cool at C.C. , but many of us snorkeled and swam all day. I would have no problems sailing in January again.

I thought you were going to ask questions about "couples" - LOL!!
