Our 180 window will be a few weeks and I want to know where people think we have to eat since we won't have the kiddos.

I am planning on the deluxe dining plan and think we may do
Jiko
California Grille
Flying Fish

We are staying at the boardwalk. Thanks.

You have to do the CA Grill; make sure you plan it according to when Wishes! is (you can look at the official website for the calendar). Ex.: if Wishes! is at 10, then make ADR's at 8/830 so you can get a good table to see it. I'll make a list of what I'd do; my DH and I would go to these places with only adults:

1. CA Grill
2. Narcossee's at the GF
3. Any restaurant in WS at EPCOT
4. Flying Fish Cafe
5. Artist Point at WL
6. Yachtmen's Steakhouse at YC

If anything, I'd have to say do the first 2 for sure. Then, with the WS restaurants, it'll be convenient with staying at the BW.

My wife and I love the Flying Fish and Jiko. The California Grill is always a bit too hectic for us, and if you have a late ADR, you may end up waiting a while to be seated. If you dine at the Flying Fish, try the Potato-Wrapped Red Snapper, it's outstanding.

I think if you wants something Romantic definitly California Grille along with the time of Wishes. You wont regret it. The food is absolutley amazing, they make delicious beef filet, its just a great disney dining experience. You and your DH will love it, especially since your without the kiddos. Have fun and take lots of pics.

Jiko is my favorite Signature restaurant. We ate there in October on our Adults Only trip and it was a wonderful meal. It was also very quiet and there were very few children there.
We love the restaurants of WS. We particularly enjoy Teppan Edo in Japan, Restaurant Marakkesh in Morocco, Rose & Crown in the UK and Le Cellier in Canada.
We did not enjoy the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the YC our last visit. I know I am in the minority here, but the food was just not good. It was way to highly seasoned. We were 3 adults, and we had 3 different entrees and no one enjoyed their meal. The setting is beautiful and the service was great, the food just was not good.

You picked our top three places to dine in WDW. We eat at California Grill & Jiko on every trip. Have fun and enjoy your dinner choices.

DH & I like BlueZoo. We like to have a nice dinner there, then stroll around the Boardwalk after.

Artist Point & Wilderness Lodge are very cozy too.

You already listed our other 2 favs, CG & Jiko.

Can you do V&A?????

Can't do V &A on the dining plan and since we are going to pay extra for the deluxe I don't really want to pay for any meals out of pocket.

So it sounds like Jiko and Cali Grille are a definite. Maybe Flying Fish, Narc's at the GF, possibly Yachtsman.

Does anyone know of any good sit down breakfasts walking distance from the BW? We will probably do sit down breakfasts and dinners and skip lunch or just have a snack.
Thanks for all of the good advice.:flower3:

We've always enjoyed breakfast at Spoodles. There's also Cape May, which is a buffet.

Citrico's! Get the Veal Shank! It's incredible! And you can order a special surprise from the GF bakery and they will have it delivered to your table. DBF ordered me Cindy's Slipper. It was lovely.... and the press pot coffee... mmmmm. Have a great trip!

The Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club has just been named the #1 Disney owned signature restaurant on property, all their food is prepared fresh daily and steaks are hand cut daily.

For Breakfast - you could get something from the boardwalk bakery or you could go to the Beach Club and go to Goofy's Breakfast Bash at Cape May Cafe, it is a character but we do it every trip even when just adults, they have a large variety of food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Enjoy your trip!!

We just got back 4 days ago and ate at Jiko twice and Ca Grill once. We always eat at both of these restaurants. Ca Grill wasn't as good as usual. the foi gras and goat cheese ravioli appetizers were really good, but the ahi tuna was just okay and the pork tenderloin tasted waay too salty. Usually the pork tenderloin is one of their best meals but I think someone might have salted it twice by accident. It was also very overcooked. The chocolate lava cake and that bananas foster type dessert were really good. I always love the atmosphere and we went out on the balcony with our martinis and watched the sun set by the MK. It was so beautiful. Jiko exceeded Ca Grill by far in the food category. The atmosphere is also great. We got the chicken flatbread one night and the pork flatbread the next night and both were incredible. Our main dishes were the lamb shank and the filet with mac n cheese. Our desserts were the pistachio creme brulee and the lemon curd with blueberries and sour cream ice cream. All of these were some of the best things I have ever tasted. When you go to the restaurant you can walk up a flight of stairs right beside it and have a glass of Africa wine that you can't get anywhere else in the US at the Victoria Falls lounge. It is an open bar overlooking Boma and Jiko and the smells coming from the restaurants are amazing. I think Jiko is one of the very best restaurants I have ever been to. The head chef there now was the head chef at Le Cellier. He hasn't changed the menu very much from before. The old head chef got promoted to some really big company so she is not with Disney anymore.

I say spoodles for breakfast, thats where we usually go for sit down breakfast...They make excellent breakfast. then we walk around boardwalk...Its a nice way to start the day.

Good Luck...Have lots of fun!

Would you consider using some of your snack credits for quick to-go breakfasts and saving the TS credits for a nice, early lunch? I would recommend any of the WS restaurants like Chefs de France, San Angel or LeCellier. To me, this seems like a better (more value-packed) use of the TS credits. Of course, value is subjective! I can make breakfast food at home, but I only get to WS every few years. :)

Cape May Cafe at Y&B Club is one of my favorites and is just across the lake.:sail:

we'll be there without the kiddos & on the deluxe dining also (staying at Beach Club). Here's what we've got planned.

Arrival day...Dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse
Day 1 ... Breakfast at CRT & Dinner at Narcoosee's
Day 2 ... Lunch at Tutto Italia & Dinner at Chef de France
Day 3 ... Breakfast at Cape May Cafe & Dinner at Flying Fish
Departurue day .. Lunch at LeCellier

Most are places we've not been before, but a couple are repeats. It seems a bit odd to be doing the character meals without the kids, but CRT is on our actual annivesary so I chose to dine in the castle for that. And staying at the Beach Club for the first time, I wanted to try out Cape May while we're there.

Have fun planning...and hope you have a great time!
