Hi All.

I've been lurking for a little while and am kind of overwhelmed by all the info on this site.

I'm going to WDW in September with my husband. We've both been there before with our respective families, but this is our first trip together. We're so excited!

We're going to be staying for 8 nights at Caribbean Beach Resort in one of the pirate-themed rooms. (Yes, married couple, no kids, who says we can't have a pirate room?!)

My main purpose for being here is to get at least a general plan of what parks we are going to when and what our must-do attractions are and how to get on the more popular rides with the least amount of wait time. We've already got ADRs for our table service meals and booked the 2 hour Epcot Segway tour. I want to leave plenty of room for spontaneity, but I also don't want to get to the end of the trip and learn we've missed something we had really wanted to do. Any tips are appreciated.

A couple of specific questions:
1. Is TouringPlans.com paid subscription worth the money?
2. Any tips for being there on my birthday? (26th) I want to go to Jellyrolls in the evening.

Welcome to the boards!
You have landed in the perfect place to find all the answers to your questions - and a whole lot more!! :goodvibes
It looks like you may want to spend time on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board, and maybe spend some time reading Trip Reports and looking at pictures.
You will learn a lot doing that - but not matter what - your trip will be magical because its your trip and magic will always find you at WDW!
:hippie:

My husband and I are going in September too :) We are going to be celebrating our 2nd anniversary. I've also been overwhelmed by all the information on the boards..there's so much great info! I have actually been wondering about touring plans as well. Hubby has been playing with the idea of buying one of the apps to use while were there. We havent decided either way yet tho.

I'm jealous that you are going on the segway tour. I have read so many great things about it. I would like to look into it for our next trip! Hope you have a great trip..try not to get addicted to the boards lol.

Congratulations on booking your first adults only trip, it will be magical. I first went as an adult in my early 20's with my SO and we stayed at CBR first time (and in September). In all my trips since I have never felt out of place or weird doing anything being adults only (and we dine w/ charecters, get autographs, stay in the more 'traditionally kid themed' resorts often, etc).

1. Touringplans.com is totally worth the $10 to subscribe. You can get a half of discount if you own the current Unoffical Guide or sometimes you can get a discount in the allearsnet.com newsletter. The touring plans are great and save lots of time, you are traveling during one of the slower periods of the year so having a plan will save you even more time in line, you can also get access to the crowd calendar showing which parks for which days and Lines a mobile wait time application that will show you what the waits are in all 4 parks. Also you get 1 yr of Lines access and it works anywhere you have cellular data service (others only work while in the parks). Look at it this way, you are spending AT LEAST $1,000 on your trip, another $10 is 1%, if it saves you just 10 minutes in line, is that worth it to you?

2. Jellyrolls is a great place to start for your birthday, maybe book a nice dinner for the two of your prior to visiting Jellyrolls. There are several nice table service places in the resorts around the Boardwalk that you could try for.
