I think I've decided to rent a double stroller instead of lugging my big double jogger from home. That thing takes up a ton of space. How much should I expect to pay per day to rent? I budgeted $15 a day, but that was just a guess.

Also, My oldest will be celebrating her birthday the day before we leave. I'd love to take advantage of the Disney gift card offer in lieu of the free ticket/FP option. Do I need to do anything in advance to get that? It seems like I filled something out online once, but never heard back or got any additional info from it.

Thanks for any help! :goodvibes

The last I heard the double stroller is $27/day. This was last year so it may have gone up between now and then.

Its my understanding that in order take advantage of the free ticket/gift card you have to be in WDW on your actual birthday. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe doubles are $31/day now?? Something crazy in my mind. Why don't you try to get into a stroller swap? Or if you don't want to do that, you can rent from one of the stroller rental agencies for cheaper than the park rentals and you'll get the stroller the whole time (nice to have for traveling around the resort/etc...) Worth looking into in my opinion :goodvibes

It has to be on the actually birthday, and you need to show proof. And yes, those strollers are $ to rent!

Definitely get into a stroller swap!!!! At the top of the disboard budget board there is a sticky for all the stroller swaps.

We went last month and I did a stroller swap for the first time. It was perfect. Those Disney double rentals are really small and hard plastic. They don't look comforable at all! They would not have worked for my kids who are about the same age as yours. And at $31 per day - YIKES!!!

Look at my signature at the bottom for the stroller swap we used - Royal Carriage. There are 5 double jogging strollers to choose from in this swap! If your dates aren't available check the stroller swap sticky mentioned above. Most swaps are $20 for the entire time you are there!!! That's a lot of extra spending money!

$31 a day!!! :scared1: YIKES!!! Ok, I'm definitely looking into the stroller swap!

We will be there on her actual birthday. I just wasn't sure how to go about getting it all set up.

If you can't get in on a swap look at renting off site-I think the company is called orlandostrollers.com, they are cheaper than disney and will bring it to the resort and pick it up from the resort.

You can register on line for the gift card which they say will speed things up. I got an email with a form to print out when I registered.

You will need an official birth certificate for your DD.
