Couple Of Questions!

Hi, would value some veterans opinions here. Will be returning to WDW next year for the second time. This time will not be staying on site. Can I still do character meals or eat at the resorts, and resort hop. And do anyone know if you get transport to the parks from I Drive (dont really want to use hotel shuttles but dont drive.) Thanks for your help

Yes, you can eat anywhere on Disney property even if you are staying off site. Also, you can certainly use WDW transportation and resort hop all you want!

I'm afraid I can't help you with your transportation question but I'm sure someone else will be able to help soon.

If you don't want to use the resort shuttle then I would think your only option is to take a cab (which can be a bit pricey).

Welcome, Miss Stitch!

Our first trip to WDW, years ago, was the only time we ever stayed "off-property" (never ever again!)

But we used WDW transportation even on that trip to take a look at the various resorts (and shop) while we were there.
And we chose the one(s) where we wanted to stay on our next trip.

A note about posting.
If you will put more specific info in the TITLE of your question you'd get better response from DISers with direct knowledge of your subject.
Example: "Off-property, can we ride WDW buses?" would be a better title than "Couple Of Questions" because MOST posts are questions...
You can get more, quicker and better responses with a specific Title.

For transportation to the parks from internation drive, there is a lynx bus that will go to the ticket and transportation center. From there you can use disney transportation to get to the parks. I am not sure of the cost, or times when the buses run. the other option is a taxi.
