Couple of questions: Taxi from Kyriad to NPB and charging purchases to room/discount

We are staying at the Kyriad on Monday night, and want to go to Newport Bay on Tuesday morning at around 7am to check in and drop off our luggage, so we can make EMH.

Now I know we can get a free shuttle from Kyriad to DLP. But I am assuming this drops off up near the park itself, and I don't want to start our day by having to trek back to the hotel with 2 suitcases, hand luggage, buggy and a 3 year old. So - can I get a taxi from Kyriad? I am sure it won't cost too much to go the short distance to the NPB hotel. Does anyone know anything about getting taxis?


Also, we have put alot of our spending onto a pre-paid travel card, and would quite like to charge things to our room and pay it each night. How will this work with Shareholders discount? Will I show my card at the store, get the discount and then charge the balance to my room?

the kyriad bus drops you at the same bus terminus where you pick up the free shuttle to the NBC, so I'd just get off the kyriad bus and get on the NBC one . But if you're determined to take a taxi, ask at the Kyriad reception for them to call one for you (do it in advance though).

yes, you can easily get your shareholders discount and then use your pre-pay travel card. However, from what I understand you don't get a bill for each night for whatever you've charged to your room, its every time you hit a certain number of euros (300 euros rings a bell to me, but I'd check that with the hotel when you arrive).

If that doesn't suit you, you can always just show your shareholders card first for your discount then pay at the shop/restaurant with your pre-paid card.

hi took a taxi from explorus to raddison disney recently reception rang for us think it was 15 euro but with children suitcases etc was easier that taking shuttles.

I'd consider a taxi if i was doing it again, when we moved from Kyriad to Cheyenne, we waited and got on the 3rd shuttle bus, in fact I did go and ask at reception for walking directions, the receptionist didn't hide the fact that she thought i was mad to consider walking it !

Elaine, thanks for the info re: charging stuff back to rooms etc. We've never done this before, but want to limit the amount of cash we are carrying (esp after the pickpocket thread) and wasn't sure how it would work with the discount!

It's all so exciting...!
