Couple of questions about HHI

1. Is there any character interaction anywhere at HHI?

2. Since we are driving, would it be reasonable to bring a radio flyer wagon to get the kids from the room to the beach?

We have never seen any Disney characters at Hilton Head -- unless you count the CM's who work there.

The beach is a good distance from the villas. If you are willing to walk a long walk (at least a mile) the wagon might work if you think your kids would sit for that long. The resort does have a shuttle to and from the main lodge to the beach house -- however, I don't imagine that there is room for a full size wagon on that. If you drive and get there early enough to park (which is the key at the beach house), I personally would have a tough time pulling a wagon full of children to the beach through the sand. I would think it might sink and be really hard to pull until it was at the are where the sand is wet and compact. But, that's just my opinion.

Bike (rentals available..and I assume child seats, helmets, too) or take the shuttle to the beach...the wagon would be awful. IMHO

The character "interaction" is not with the typical Disney characters, but with B'lou Crabbe and Shadow, the resort dog. That's what makes the resort special. There are Disney touches everywhere, and definitely Disney-quality Cast Members, but the closest you'll get to the usual Disney Characters would be the Bambi and Thumper topiaries outside of Big Murggie's Den or the Hidden Mickeys throughout the resort.

I agree with not bothering with the wagon, unless you want it to cart the kids from your villa to the resort pool or the campfire area. But the resort itself is fairly small, so even if you have a villa at the other end, it's not that far of a walk. I agree with the idea of bikes with child seats or driving to the beach, especially if you have a lot of beach "stuff".

How reliable is the shuttle? Thought it might be easier than taking the car. Anyone have any experience taking it? How often does it come, etc.?
