Either new or I can't find answers yet! ;)

1. What time does the Raddison have it's first bus to the port? Would it be better for DH to drop me off at port then turn in the car and shuttle back to port? Port opens at 10:30 right?

2. What is the best method of getting off the ship at CC, snorkling before it gets hazy, and getting good shady seats at the adult beach?

3. Where is the plane wreakage located at CC?

4. are the tours at Nasa worth it? How long are they?

THANK YOU!!!!

You can usually find the plane wreckage by lining yourself up with the first massage cabana and heading straight out. However, my hubby couldn't do it on our last trip because they had added boat rentals and banana boat rides at Serenity Bay, which means they had roped off a large area which made it hard to get out there...the water tends to be shallow, so the part they roped off is a prime part in order to be deep enough for the boats.

Just returned, and we stayed at the Radisson. Signed up at check-in and we were on the first shuttle at 10:20. When we arrived, hardly any people were there. I waited on only one person before checking in, and all the stations were not even open yet.
As far as getting to the beaches at Castaway Cay. People were already lining up in the halls before 8:30 to exit the boat. We took the shuttle to the family beach and passed everyone walking. And we even stopped twice to have pictures taken.I think the shuttle is quicker. But there were plenty of chairs, as long as you get off early.

Ok... couple more...

If we get to the adult beach and leave our stuff in some chairs, then go to the snorkling area...do I need to worry about losing my things and our chairs? Are people pretty respectful about other people things? Or should DH and I snorkle in shifts, leaving
one of us to guard our things?

Good morning, Karen.

do I need to worry about losing my things

I wouldn't leave anything valuable lying around, say like a big-screen tv... but clothing and such should be ok.

and our chairs?

They will be fine. If, however, you are going to explore the island after your snorkel or do another time-consuming activity, you may want to offer the chairs to a party looking for seats. Most likely they will appreciate your courtesy and you can keep any "stuff" beside the chairs.

Are people pretty respectful about other people things?

In general, yes. However, my best buddy's first wife was not respectful about her vows... though this wasn't at Castaway Cay.

Buckaroo you are waaaaaay tooooo funny!!! :)

karenTX,
We will even leave our things at our chairs when we go to lunch and, knock on wood, have never had a problem. I try to get an umbrella and then tie a bright shirt or something to it so DD can find our place if she starts talking and playing and moves a bit farther down the beach. We get one of the rolling carts to take our stuff to the beach that way it is all in one neat place, we usually have sand toys and drinks with us.
Have fun!

What is a "Rolling Cart"? Something you bring with you or something you can pick up on Castaway Cay? Been there twice, had a lot of stuff to lug around, would have been nice to have something to help haul it around with.

The rolling carts are with the wheelchairs and strollers on CC near Mt. Rustmore. They look like oversized wagons made out of mesh. You have to get off the ship early to get one since there are a limited number available. We have used them everytime since first going in '99.
