Does anyone know if you can get this steak = the Teriyaki-style New York Strip - sirloin strip grilled with pineapple teriyaki glaze at Kona's plain, without any sauce? I would hate to get this and not be happy with the sauce, so I'd probably rather have it plain. Does anyone know if this is very good or not? I know the filet was supposed to great according to many dissers, but sadly they've taken it off the menu. Can anyone compare the prime rib, which also has many fans, to the Ny strip?

Also, has anyone had the chocolate fondue here at Kona's? What else is good for dessert here?

Thanks!! :goodvibes

I don't know if you can order it without the glaze but this is what I ate when we were there and it was delicious! It was one of my favorite meals the entire trip. I also had the chocolate fondue and it was good too, but how can you go wrong with chocolate. :thumbsup2

You can always get the sauce on the side, just ask All of the desserts at Kona are the best.

the ice cream - make your own sundae kind of thing - was great. cool toppings came with it....even cotton candy. looked impressive. can't remember what it's called though. sure someone on here will.

Wow, quick answers, thanks!! :)

Also, meant to ask if anyone knows what is included for dipping in the choc fondue? I'm hoping for strawberrys!

I had that steak and it was very good! I'm sure that they can make it without the sauce for you...it was good though. Here is a pic.

Yeah there is some strawberrys with the fondue. other fruit too.

Thanks for the great pics! I have to say that steak looks great! Is that asparagus under it?

Is there a sauce on the prime rib at all, or is it plain?

Also, anyone had the steak and the prime rib to compare?

What other fruits for fondue? And, is the fondue very big, or not too?

It looks yummy, how is the cheesecake?

My DH always gets any kind of sauce on the side with meats, we eat at Kona every trip and he always gets the steak. No problems getting it plain or on the side. We found this at nearly every resturant we ate at in WDW.

All the deserts are very good. search through the photos in the food thread and there is a picture of the fondue. I think strawberries, bananas, pineapple, some kind of brittle or cookie. I thought it looked really good.
There is also a hot lava type cake that was very good if you love chocolate!
get a side of vanillia icecream with it though!

Bev

The fondue is small...not what you would expect. My BIL loved it though.

Under the steak was Broccolini. Tim liked the cheesecake.
