Couple of GF questions

1) When the GF was featured on the Travel Channel, Samantha walked into a GF room and there was a beautiful arrangement of candy waiting in the room. Does anyone know more about this? I was wondering how I could arrange for this and how much does it cost?

2) I thought I read somewhere that turndown service was offered throughout the GF...but then I thought I read somewhere else that it was being discontinued unless you are staying in concierge. Can anyone verify one way or another if turndown service would happen in a regular GF room (without requesting it)?

it still is for all rooms, if they forget you just give housekeeping a call to remind them. As for the amenity in the show, you can call private dining to order it. And I believe it is at least 50 dollars or more.

I started a thread on the tuxedo strawberries on the restaurant boards a while back. I saw a similar post on another board and if you check this link, there's a link to that post. One poster said she got the strawberries and chocolate Mickey as a complimentary surprise. I've only been able to find it as a listing on the yacht club room service menu at a price!

We just stayed the the GF in a regular room. We received turn-down service each night without prompting. -HM

Anything like shown on the Travel Channel (flowers, chocolates, strawberries, etc) can be arranged thru the Disney Florest prior to arrival, or the Grand Floridian's room service department while you are there. They are pretty expensive, though.
