Couple of DVC questions..

There is a major issue with resale. They now are only good for DVC properties.

They offer the other resorts. They just want to close out BLT, AKV and Hawaii.

I have a family of 6 and a 2 bedroom does us fine. We have 330 points.

The prices are going up fast so if your gonna buy dont hesitate. In the past year the have gone up 30 and I believe their increasing on the 15th another 5.

I thought you could also use your DVC points (even though some say it is a waste of points) at other locations? Is this not the case?

you can use resale pts to trade out to RCI. matthew517 is incorrect.

you cannot use resale pts to trade out for disney cruises or stays in other wdw hotels like the poly or specialty hotels like the hotel del coronado in CA.

That's what I thought. Thank you for clearing it up. So much DVC information floating around in my head, I wanted to make sure I knew what was right.

Resale DVC points can be used at any of the DVC resorts as well as for RCI exchanges. The only restrictions that are currently placed on resale points are the Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and the Concierge Collection. It's not really that big of a concern.

And they can't be used for the Disney Collection (DCL is part of the Disney Collection). So you can't use resale points purchased after March 20, 2011 for any of the WDW or DL resorts that are not DVC resorts (like YC, Polynesian, GF-for a while until they open the villas there, the moderate resorts, and the three DL resorts).
