Can you buy a regular AP(no WP option) use it for a trip then on your next trip upgrade to the WP options? and if so where to do this?

Do you ever use the disney dining card for everyones dinner so the rest of your family can benefit from the discount and then at the end of your vacation "settle up" with what their portion of the bill was?(keep your reciepts).

TIA for your knowledge :teeth:

As to the first part of the question I have no idea. For the DDE, since it's good for up to ten people, I always use it for the whole party and settle up after.

that great to know, there will be 9 of us total and Im thinking this could add up to some savings for all of us.

where can i get a list of the places and times it is good at? hopefully prior to purchasing it so I can see in advance what kind of savings were looking at.

Thanks Hannah,
Is the florida resident program for dde the same as the AP dining card you can purchase the same or am I getting this mixed up?

Your places will be the same Ap holder or FL res.
Basically it's any TS owned by Disney (Epcot WS maybe be exceptions), Food courts of Value resorts and POFQ. It is also good on booze at Mod and deluxe bars.

You can upgrade a regular AP to a Premium AP at any time. The difference in price is not prorated, so in theory if you wanted to upgrade to a PAP two days prior to expiration it would still be the same price difference.

Basically the DDE card is good for a 20% discount on food and beverages (including alcoholic ones) for up to ten people done on one check.

It is basically valid for any meal at any sit-down (table service or buffet) restaurant n the parks or Resorts. It is also good at the food courts/counter service locations where there is no sit-down restaurant (AK, Value Resorts, POFQ) and for the lounges in the resorts.

Oops, sorry... I didn't log in over the weekend, but yes, they are the same...the DDE is just a little bit cheaper for passholders than for FL residents.

I love our DDE. It's definitely worthwhile if you eat a decent number of TS meals. Our last trip, we had a party of 5 "adults", 2 kids, and 1 under 3. The DDE paid for itself after our second TS meal. Having dinner at Boma, the DDE discount for our party was $30. Even eating at the ASMo food court, with 8 people and a bill of about $50, it saves $10.
