Country Inn & Suites LBV

We are staying here first week of April... has anyone stayed here & can give me some hints & tips... also, how early do we need to leave to get to the parks for opening... & one more thing, is there a grocery store nearby????

I have not stayed there personally but have booked clients there (I'm a TA) and they loved it. The location is wonderful and only minutes from DTD. There is a Goodings grocery store in the Crossroads area across the street but the prices are outrageous!
If you have a car - drive to SuperTarget down on 192. It would be about 8-10 minutes from you and the grocery prices were excellent. They are building
a Walmart-SuperCenter on SR535 across from the Buena Vista Outlet Mall but I am not sure when it is scheduled to be done. It looked like it might be ready by early summer.
If you don't have a car - take a cab to Publix on Vineland Ave. It is fairly new and would have better prices than Goodings. It would be about a 5-6 minute cab ride for you.

I love the Lake Buena Vista area ~ enjoy!

We stayed there the day after hurricane Charley when our hotel on 192 lost power and we needed another place to go. I loved it. We only stayed there one night before we checked into Disney, but I was impressed. We own DVC and would definately consider staying here again if we needed to do a cash night somewhere. I wasn't impressed with the pool area however, it's very tiny and surrounded by a parking lot. It's a nice hotel if you are doing Disney all day and not looking for a resort experience.

If you take a right out of the hotel parking lot, a travel about half a mile or so, there is a Winn Dixie and an ABC liquor store. Close, not as cheap as publix or walmart, but certainly cheaper than Goodings.

My DH and I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites LBV in September and really enjoyed our stay. We didn't use the pool and as another poster stated, it is in the back of the hotel. The free continental breakfast is good with a wide variety of items. They also have waffle makers so you can make your own waffles. We had a room with two queen beds, a microwave and a refrigerator. The rooms are a nice size. The beds were comfortable. The staff is great. My DH liked staying here better than Pop. In fact, he wanted to check out of Pop one day early so we could go back to CI&S.
