Has anyone stayed here? The website says "its Orlando's newest hotel". How far from DTD & OKW? We're checking into OKW on July 4 & want to be able to switch easily.

This new property is just off Apopka-Vineland Rd (535) about half a mile from the Crossroads entry to DTD. It is very convenient for Disney (although it's not walking distance) and the surrounding area and the chain of Country Ins have created a very favourable impression in central Florida in the last 2 years.

WE toured it a few days ago and got home last night and booked it today for our July trip. We also toured other places and found this hotel cleaner and nicer than the other cheaper places we were considering. There is a smaller but nice pool on the back side of the hotel. There is a nice breakfast area and a continental breakfast is included in the rate. Some had said a negative is the fact that is in basically in a parking lot. Well, that is somewhat true, but it is tucked in at the end of the lot,next to the Sheratin Safari and behind a Sizzler. It was clean and very well presented. All rooms have a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. They also have coffee, tea, and hot chocolate 24 hours/day. I was impressed for a low budget place. It is not Disney, and we too will be in a DVC resort (BCV) during this stay, but from what I saw, I have no problem staying here and we are VERY spoiled with our DVC resorts. Also, I noticed Giordano's has moved and is in the strip mall next to CI. I have eaten there and they make great pizza if you want to try it. We were at OKW this week and went down to check out CI and spent a lot of time in that area. We found that going the back way to DTD from OKW to be a lot better. Follow the signs to Saratoga Springs/DTD and you will miss most of the traffic and lights. It will take you to the light at DTD/Hotel Plaza BLVD, take a left, follow it all the way to the end, be sure to get in the right left turn lane, turn left, stay in the right lane, look for the Sheratin Safari Resort, then Sizzler, the CI is right behind. We liked the one up near Universal that we stayed at a couple of years ago. Thanks for the recommendation as we are planning a somewhat last minute trip for July. I checked out their web site. Does anyone have a promotional code to enter into the reservation system?
