Country Inn at Florence or Santee?

My DH , DS(4) and myself will be driving from PA In April. Would like to make ressies half way down. How are the hotels in Florence or Santee. Looking at Country Inn & Suites in both areas. Any other suggested hotels?

Last time I drove down to Orlando from MD, we stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Santee. Nice property with decent breakfast...the only thing I can think of that was on the negative side was the size of their breakfast room.
