Country Inn at Calypso Cay - advice

I am staying at the County Inn at Calypso Cay with a group of 8 year olds. I know they have 3 pool and mini-golf. So that will keep the kids entertained.

But what is nearby to eat? We don't want to spend lots of money but I also don't want to go to McDonalds every day.

Also, where is the best place to get groceries near the hotel?

Any other funs things to do nearby other than the parks?

There is a Walmart very close, within a mile actually. There is a couple of steakhouses within a mile also. The nearest fast food places are Taco bell and Burger King. There is also a Sonic inside the Walmart I mentioned earlier.
