Has anyone stayed in the Country Inn and Suites in Cocoa Beach?

I'm looking at the Family room, which has the twin beds in one sectioned off area and a queen bed in another. I wondered if those beds are suitable for teens or if they're really geared toward kids. I won't waste the extra money, if the beds aren't really appropriate.

Also, if you had a one bedrooms suite with a pull-out couch, what was that like? Was it comfortable? We had a horrible one in another hotel last year, so I'm gun-shy about pull-out beds.

Also, is there any accessible beach or area to walk around that hotel?

We stayed there as a family - but in a regular room - and my parents have stayed there a couple of times and we thought it was nice. We didn't really explore the beach area that much as we'd driven in from Key West that day, so we pretty much went to dinner at Fishlips, my dad wanted to go to the Ron Jon shop, and then we crashed.

But if it wasn't nice, my parents would not have gone back.

Well, I have heard a lot of good things about this hotel. It's really what type of room will most suit my teens. I could just do a normal room, but my older DS roams around the bed during the night, so my younger DS has trouble sleeping with him.

We have stayed in the family suite there and it's definitely geared towards kids, not teens. Nice hotel though.

We've done the 1 BR that had the sofa-bed twice with 5 of us once and 4 the next. The middle and oldest on the sofa-bed in the other room they did not complain about (though a typical sofa-bed in terms of comfort). They more enjoyed they could stay up later than us with the youngest in the BR having their own TV and access to the leftovers in the fridge.

We stayed here, and it is what I consider a utilitarian hotel. It does its job but there are no frills, nothing drawing you back. For one night, the price was right for the 5 of us in the suite (two queens w/sofa pull out), free breakfast, shuttle to port. It was kind of in the middle of nowhere, and we don't have a car so there wasn't much we could do. The sofa bed was fine for one night. I remember the bunk situation but we didn't choose it bc it did seem like it was for smaller kids. We've stayed elsewhere in Cocoa Beach since and were happier with similar price and amenities but better locale.

Hmm. Okay, no to the family room with the bunks. :(

Thanks for the opinions on the sofa bed. What about the Starwood by Ron Jons? They have a room with a sofabed, too.

To be honest, we stayed at Comfort Inn and Suites next door to the Starwood last time for the 40% off parking (which was cancelled!). The sofabed in that room was so bad, I was afraid to sit on it. In addition to the thin mattress, I think some of the springs were either stretched out or broken. My lightest family member used it and said it was the worst bed ever. So this has made me gun-shy about sofa beds.

We have stayed in the 1BR and the rooms with the bunks from when they opened. I noticed a steep decline from when they opened to a few years later.

When Homewood Suites opened across the street, we liked it much more and it is now our go to hotel in Cape Canaveral.
