Anyone stayed here recently? How is the location and drive to the parks? Is it close to the highway or noisy at all? Also wondering about the grounds - the only photos I've seen look to have been taken when the place first opened cause the landscaping looks kind of sparse and immature. I'm hoping for someplace nice and lush w/lots of tropical plants and palm trees.:goodvibes TIA

I don't have photos and I wouldn't call it overly lush, but it does look tropical. The pools were enjoyable especially for young children and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Traffic noise was not a problem, I'd be more concerned about pool noise if anything, but we didn't have any problems. We enjoyed our brief stay immensely and felt it seemed somewhat new and good safe area.

We stayed there in Oct. 06. Were very happy with it, no road noise or pool noise. My kids were of an age to appreciate the 'kidsuite,' I have pics of that if anyone is interested.

The search function isn't coughing up my comments from then, but I do have these two pics of the pool area.

Plenty of trees and plants around, in fact I remember fighting through them to retrieve a lost golf mall from the included mini-golf.

Breakfast was good if heavy on the 'white bread' kind of items, there is a SuperTarget and WalMart near enough you can buy additional fruit etc. if you like. Our kidsuite room had a fridge and microwave.

Very easy access to Epcot and DHS (MGM) if you use the 535/536 route.

Lots of chain restaurants around, I know we dined at both Applebees and Pizzeria Uno while staying there.

We'd stay there again. :thumbsup2

We are staying in a Kids Suite on Sept 28 for one night before going to the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal. I would LOVE to see your photos of the Kid Suite. THANKS!!!

I'd love to see your photos too. Do you have any of the mini-golf or other activities? Also, do you remember how long it took you to get to each park? Thanks in advance for the info. :)

We've stayed twice. Easy access to everything - stores, parks, SeaWorld, restaurants.

The kids loved the pool and slide. My only complaint (which is a common problem) is people seem to forget to parent their kids on vacation. I saved a little 4 year old who's brother decided trying to hold him under water was fun. Also kids climbing UP the slide and obstructing the bottom causing others injury.

Did you stay in the Kids Suite? I would love some photos of this suite. Thanks for the heads up. We should roll in from NC about 2 or 3 pm and will probably spend the afternoon by the pool and then grab a quick dinner and off to bed for our Universal Studios trip the next day.
