i love the new faith and tim song too...im so upset i missed it..but it was for a good reason (making plans to pick up a friend from the airport--hes leaving iraq!)

I love country music, but I'm severely disappointed by this show tonight. I thought Faith Hill looked awful - gorgeous dress, but her hair was terrible. Keith Urban sounded completely off, so did Dierks Bentley. Rascall Flatts was great - I'd love to see them in concert. Even Garth sounded great, and when was the last time HE did a concert? I'd love for him to do a greatest hits tour now that his CD set is out - that would be AWESOME! I'm happy for Gretchen Wilson, she definitely deserved the award (and Rascall Flatts for best vocal group!). Other than that, this show wasn't anything special IMO.

I agree, everyone sounded off.. not Gretchen Wilson or Big and Rich though, at least I didn't think so. Sara Evans sounded the most off to me. She looked like she knew it too.

I was a little bit upset about the rushing of the winners off the stage. They had to be speed talkers to get things said! The worst was Alabama...it was a horrible, even my kids commented on it.

Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Gretchen Wilson, Keith Urban - seen them all live, that's how they sound!

Big and Rich...although some don't like them...have GREAT voices. I'm sorry - their voices just mix so well with each other.

I think the reason why Keith won over Kenny...might be because Kenny is big and knows it. he does the big tours every summer, did the stadium tour (with Keith) this summer too. Maybe it's not how big of a splash you make...but how well formed that splash is...ya know? Keith is AMAZING in concert...not saying Kenny isn't..but they are two VERY different acts IMO.

And - please tell me...was last night the LAST NIGHT "Whiskey Lullaby" could win something? Great song all around...but man...move on! heheheh

Loved the show last night...watched the whole thing...I thought Alan Jackson NAILED "Wonderful Tonight" but Dolly/Elton kinda butchered "Imagine"

I agree.
I must say though, the CMA's win kudos for the amount of great live performances during their awards show, but there are too many to fit in to a 3 hour time slot and allow enough time for winners to say thanks. I know they have to cut off long winded thank you's but the CMA's were riduculous for cutting people off last night. I understand they are on a tight schedule - and they did wrap up on time, but it was just plain rude to cut-of the speeches from Alabama. They were inducted in to the Hall of Fame for crying out loud!

As for the performances - I thought Dierks Bentley sounded terrible, as did Sara Evans. Everyone else sounded live and overall was a great concert.

I am so mad that I missed the whole CMA's I love counter music if I didn't have a toddler to run after and a new born I probably would have had time to watch it. Did anyone record them, LOL
