Hi,

There are only 9 sleeps left until we'll be at DWD. Getting excited (once I get over the planning)!!!

I have questions around the water parks.

- Where in the GTA can I buy those water proof thingy at I can put ID, keys, money and wear around our necks for when we are in the water parks? What do they look like?
- I'll bring water shoes for the kids, but what do adults wear? Water shoes too? Do we wear these to and fro between the hotel and the water park? Or do we change them at the park?
- What about towels? Do we bring our own beach towels or would the Coronado Springs or the water parks have towels that we can use?
- Do we pack light for water park days so that we don't rely on lockers or worry about our things being 'misplaced'?
- Do we have multiple-entry priviledge with the waterpark of the day? Or once we are in we are stuck until we ready to leave?
- Where is the GTA do we buy waterproof disposable cameras?
- Do people take camcorder to the water parks if there are only 2 adults and 2 children who like to play instead of sitting around to guard the valuables? LOL

Thanks for helping with the silly questions.

Well I can answer a couple of these questions.

- Where in the GTA can I buy those water proof thingy at I can put ID, keys, money and wear around our necks for when we are in the water parks? What do they look like? I don't know where in GTA but they do sell them at the Waterparks in various sizes and colours. I can't remember exactly what I paid for mine but it was reasonable.
- I'll bring water shoes for the kids, but what do adults wear? Water shoes too? Do we wear these to and fro between the hotel and the water park? Or do we change them at the park? My DH and I wore our sandals but my kids wore water shoes. Just changed at the parks.
- What about towels? Do we bring our own beach towels or would the Coronado Springs or the water parks have towels that we can use? I know that your resort will have towels. I can't remember if we brought our own for the water parks though. Sorry.
- Do we pack light for water park days so that we don't rely on lockers or worry about our things being 'misplaced'? We had a little soft sided cooler with cold drinks and snacks. As well, we had a small tote bag for our sunscreen, a place to put our t-shirts etc. We didn't put anything of value in it.
- Do we have multiple-entry priviledge with the waterpark of the day? Or once we are in we are stuck until we ready to leave? Not sure
- Where is the GTA do we buy waterproof disposable cameras? I just recently bought one at Walmart for our August trip. Last time I tried to find one in the summer, I had more difficulty.
- Do people take camcorder to the water parks if there are only 2 adults and 2 children who like to play instead of sitting around to guard the valuables? Don't know. I personally wouldn't take one. We just took the disposable camera with us. LOL

Hope this helps!
Lori

The main parks allow re-entry privileges for the same day so my guess would be the same for the water parks. We had a locker for keys and wallets and clothes (we came in Feb, and drove from Fort Wilderness). This way I didn't worry about the bag with towels and drinks etc. I'd rather pay the few bucks and just take a chance with someone taking my wet and sandy towel! We brought our camera and left it in the locker when done. I don't remember seeing any video cameras, but there were families that hung out in the kiddie area for several hours, so maybe they just tucked them into their bags when not in use. My dd was 3 when we were at Blizzard Beach, so I stuck pretty close to her, some families just let their older kids do their thing and stayed with the stuff. I brought beach towels, so I can't help you with the towel issue. I don't remember seeing towels for people to use (I think theft would be a huge issue if they had them). We switched to water shoes when we arrived, but many people were barefoot. I think you just do what works for you and your family - anything goes almost!

Hi Lori and Annette,

Thanks for your help. I think I just have to take a deep breath and relax :)

I think you can hire towels - we took our own, as its easier to spot "your" place by your towels (especially if you've not just bought them in the shop  ) than trying to remember which batch of white towels (the same as the hotel ones) are yours. I had a DIS water wallet which I out room keys etc. in to save hiring a locker. They are not cheap and not big, I understand. Remember if there's a sudden shower your towels will get wet :teeth:

To answer your questions
The water proof thingys you can find under camping gear. I got mine at Canadian Tire. You have to poke a hole in them if you want to put it on a lanyard though.
You can use the towels from the hotel
Wear your sandals
We brought back packs and locked up anything we thought was important in the lockers
You can go in and out but remember there is a limit on the number of guests and once they have reached capacity they will not let anymore in
We got waterproof cameras at Zehrs
We didn't take the camcorder because it was just one more thing to watch
Have fun in WDW! We leave in 9 sleeps too! :cool1:

We rented the towels right there less too carry. Plus on these boards before i have read of people who bought new Disney Beach towels to use that disappeared pirate: while they were sliding.

Waterproof cameras should be easy to find at any kind of Walmart type store.

We did not take our Video camera as it was unlikely we thought we would use it.

Have fun!

Have nothing to add except-see ya there! We are down to three days til Disney (Apr 25-May 2). We'll be the nuts in all the "Canada" gear.
