Countertops

Which countertop do you like? This picture shows the style of my cabinets, it's not my kitchen borrowed this from a for sale listing gallery.

I've decided on Zodiaq counters. These are the colors I like:

Alpha Brown

Toasted Almond

Smokey Topaz

Chestnut

Does anyone have one of these colors? Did you like it as well after install? I have lots of counter space so I want something that will blend well with anything.

I voted for Smoky Topaz because I like a contrast. I have granite counter tops that look quite similar to that. My cabinets are maple with a light stain and I used black hardware on them because it picked up the black in the granite. I loved doing my kitchen over. I hope you have fun!

I voted Toasted Almond but I do like the Chesnut. However, I have dark and it shows everything so that is why I went for the Toasted Almond.

If the counters are neutral it really is a matter of preference.

I like the toasted almond as well. It would "ground" the light color of your cabinets without over-powering them. It is also timeless. Handy if you wanted to change cabinets/paint or sell in the future.

Appliances will be black and stainless.

I voted for the smokey topaz for the contrast, but the chestnut is nice too. Either one is dark enough to not disappear into the cabinets, but not super dark.

chestnut, the lights and darks together will tie the dark appliances to the light cabs,

i would also go with a dark ceramic knob/pull to tie it togegether

I think the chestnut will tie everything in together the best. The first two I think will not blend well with the appliances, while the third would be too dark, imo.

I voted for the Smokey Topaz. That's just my taste. You might want to listen to what Froggy has to say because he knows his stuff.

Thanks everyone, good ideas. It is really hard to choose from a little square. The contractor I'm working with also has a degree in interior design and he's put many of these colors in so has a good idea of what they really look like. So far it looks like it is between Chestnut & Toasted Almond. Need to decide if I want the contrast or more blending.
