Counter Service/Table Service Question

HI All,

We were looking at doing the Free Disney dining that the UK are offering,
i am very confused how it all works, depending on which hotel you stay in you get so many point/servings per day,
Some are counter service some are table,
Is counter service fast food outlets??
Could you just explain all as i am a little confused how it all works having never stopped before on site.
what happnes if you use or your points up etc etc?
What is the best option to go for? and what restaurants are included/

The "basic" dining plan includes the following:

*One Counter Service per night stayed
*One Table Service per night stayed
*One snack per night stayed

Counter Service - is just that... a counter service/fast food meal. Includes a drink, entree and dessert (adult)

Table Service - Almost any sit down restaurant at Disney. Most will require one Table service there are a select few called signature dining that will require 2 table service. Also includes a drink, entree and dessert (adult)

Snack - your basic snack (under $4.00). Examples are a drink, ice cream bar, bag of chips, piece of fudge, etc....

For a child the menus vary as well as the offerings.
