We'll be doing the dining plan and I was wondering if any of you have recommendations for Counter service at the parks. I started reading the menus at allearsnet, and they all seem good enough....but can anyone think of any CS that's REALLY good?

Thanks again!

Cosmic Ray's at MK, especially the roasted chicken meal; large variety.

Tusker House and Flame Tree BBQ at AK

Backlot Express in MGM has good burgers.

The counterservice in World Showcase's Morocco section, but I'm not sure if that is included in the dining plan. I like the gyros, chicken shwarma and kabobs there.

Cosmic Ray's and Flame Tree BBQ both great CS. :wave2: :goodvibes :wizard:

Cosmic Rays at MK, Flame Tree at AK, we usually skip food altogether at MGM. For counter service at Epcot, the best deal for the dining plan was counter service at the Bakery in Norway. HUGE open faced turkey or ham sandwiches, a fruit cup and your choice of any bakery item for dessert. Also, water or soda to drink. Cash total was $14.99, all included in one counter service credit. Also, the meat on their sandwiches is really fresh, not that grocery store stuff you get served at most other places on property. Very thin deli meat, perfect especially on a warm day! It's my new favorite counter service place!

At MK, if you want a change from burgers go to Columbia Harbor House. Great tuna sandwich or fish strips, also chicken and soup. Try the apple pie and don't forget to eat upstairs.

At Epcot, also great fish at Rose & Crown take out window. Yummy! French Bakery has great quiches and pasteries.

At AK, we love Flame Tree BBQ. Sit in back overlooking the water.

At MGM, you are on your own. Nothing here (CS wise) we found worthy of a mention.

At DTD, Earl of Sandwich is delicious and cheap!

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

We love the pretzel sandwiches in the German Pavillion at Epcot. Its also a good place to people watch and you can usually hear the music coming from Biergarten.

We liked Columbia Harbour House in MK and plan to try Cosmic Ray's on our upcoming trip.

We LOVE Flame Tree Barbecue in AK.

In Epcot, we like the fish and chips in England but plan on trying the sandwiches in Norway.

No recommendations for MGM - not much luck with food here. Definitely avoid the ABC Comissary. Yuck!

Agreed! If anything, we go to the Backlot Express at MGM.

I love Cosmic Ray's at MK. We ate at the Harbor House last week and it wasn't too bad. A lot of others must have agreed, because it was very busy.

Ironically, we have never had a counter meal at Epcot - there are just too many sit down meal options, so we always opt for those at Epcot.

cosmic rays is pretty good..their is also a hotdog place right on main street that is very good...at mgm the commisary was good....

Cosmic Rays was good and Flame tree had great ribs. If you get tired of fries with all your CS ask if you can have a fruit cup instead. I got it every time I asked and it was great. I would often save it and have it later while waiting for a show.

That's a great advice!...Never thought of that...I love fruit...

Thanks everybody for your responses....
