Counter Service recommendations

What recommendations do y'all have for counter service restaurants? Trying to get a bit of a plan going. We'll be doing MK twice, Epcot twice (although I think one day is set), HS once and AK once, although our dining res is early for that one. We also have one night w/o TS so we'll probably do a counter service either in MK or somewhere else. We would be going to MNSSHP that night. We're staying at CBR.

Also, where is Ray's Cosmic Starlight Cafe? It's recommended in the Passporter book but I can't figure out where in the MK it is?

Thanks all for help. Trying to sort out details so that I can feel ready and start planning our packing.

Magic Kingdom, for a good counter service meal...Columbia Harbor House
In Epcot,Sunshine Seasons
In Animal Kingdom,Flame Tree Barbeque
Downtown Disney,go to Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich
Hollywood Studios...eat at your hotel before you go! :lmao:

Have a wonderful trip!

I have to agree with pp on pretty much everything. I will add Cosmic Ray's to the list, which is in Tomorrowland, sort of across from Gran Prix. Also the food court @ CBR (our personal fav). Oh ya, & Epcot also has many wonderful choices in the world showcase in addition to Sunshine Seasons.

You can check out menus here http://allears.net/din/dining.htm

Cosmic Ray's is in tomorrowland, and it's our favorite cs in the mk as well. the chicken/ribs combo is awesome! plenty of food, even enough to share a meal.

We just got back from our trip and was on the QSDP.

In MK we like Pecos Bills and El Pirate y el Perico. If I remember right (and yes I could be wrong) if you are facing the castle on Main Street and take the walkway that is to the right of the castle you should walk right to Cosmic Rays. We loved the ribs and the chicken was very moist, but it needed more seasoning.

In EP we loved Tangierine Cafe. DH and I both had the chicken and lamb combo. The hummas was outstanding. I am still craving it. Did not care for the Electric Umbrella or Sunshine Seasons asian combo meal it was to greasy, but the flavor was good.

DH we like Starring Rolls. We had the Black Forest Ham Sandwich. Yummo! Did not care for Studio Catering Company. We through out half of the meal.

AK we eat at Flame Tree BBQ and enjoyed every bite.

Downtown Disney for us was Wolfgang Puck Express Marketplace.

Enjoyed all the desserts but the key lime pie at Flame Tree BBQ. But I am not a key lime pie person. My DS8 loved it.

MK - Cosmic Ray and Columbia Harbour House
Epcot - Sunshine Season and Yakitori House
AK - Yak and Yeti
nothing at DHS

FYI - Wolfgang Pucks West Side and Wolfgang Pucks Market Place are not run by the same companies. WP MP has a menu that is far superior to WS. In fact, don't waist you time going to the WS for QS.

Our Favorites:
MK Columbia Harbour House followed closely by Pecos Bill
AK Flame Tree Barbeque
DHS CS is not great here, but the Backlot Express served the purpose
EC. We love the International CS in WS Our favorites Include:
Cantina de San Angel in Mexico
Sommerfest in Germany
Yakitori House in Japan
Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco
The Bakery in France
And Yorkshire County Fish for Harry Ramsdens Fish & Chips in the UK
Have a Great Trip

mk cosmic rays
DHS catalina Eddie's
AK Pizzafari
epcot too many to chose from we ate around the world and everything was great!

Lately we have not enjoyed many CS places...they keep changing the formula on us and it isnt as good as it used to be. Here are the ones that we will eat at.

DTD - WPE, never met a meal here that we didnt like :goodvibes

MK - Used to love Cosmic Rays but not so much anymore...our new fave is CHH for the tuna sandwich, veggie chili and the chicken BLT salad

Epcot - Used to love Tangierine Cafe but its not as great as it used to be...the veggie cuban from Sunshine Seasons is excellent and the brat and kraut from Germany is a hit with DH

AK - love Flame Tree BBQ

HS - do not like anything here except maybe a hot dog
