Counter Service Recommendations....please suggest!!

AK: Tusker House (the half chicken dinner will serve two)
MK: Cosmic Rays (we split the chicken and ribs dinner)
EP: Sunshine Seasons in the Land (lots of variety)
MGM: Probably ABC Commissary, but I would have to say the CS at MGM is not nearly as good as the other parks.
DTD: The Earl of Sandwich (We really liked the sandwiches. Hot and fresh. I have heard a lot of people use any remaining CS meals to get sandwiches for the ride home.)

Joanne :thumbsup2

Mmmm.....I love Cosmic Rays in MK. Tusker House is also really, really good. Have a great trip!

Are you allowed to order anything you want off the food court menus for CS meals on the DDP?

You can order an entree, drink and dessert. Unless we shared a meal, we were always full after the meal, so we got desserts we could take to go. We found there was so much food with the DDP, that we didn't want our snacks unless we shared a meal. Even so, we had about 5 snack credits at the end that we used to get goodies for school lunches.

MK: I like Cosmic Ray's, but I like rotisserie chicken (see the connection in AK). For your standard burgers, I like the toppings available at Pecos Bills (sauteed onions and mushrooms).

AK: Tusker House. My DD gets the salmon, I get the rotisserie chicken. Side dishes include green beans and red potatos, so it's a nice change from burgers/fries.

EPCOT: I really like many places here. Some of my favorites:

Norway bakery - DD really liked the salmon there too, and the desserts are killer.

Lotus Blossom in China - standard chinese fast food, but you know what you're getting, and it's not burgers/fries.

Yakitori House in Japan - some people hate this, but we've enjoyed everything we've tried there. DD particularly likes the miso soup, and DS likes their teriyaki.

Yorkshire Fish and Chips in the UK - You can get fish only and it's about $2 cheaper. Good greasy fried fish!

Electric Umbrella - I like the vegetarian chili. The other food is standard counter service (chicken strips, burgers, wraps, etc.)

MGM - The ABC commissary is okay. I've had a passable Cuban sandwich there, and they have a noodle stir fry. I'm also a big fan of turkey legs, so that's usually what we get at MGM.

Resort Food Courts.

I've found that the value resorts have some good options for CS meals, probably because they don't have a table service alternative. I also like getting the DDE discount there! I will often swing through Pop Century for CS if I'm on my way between MGM and another park, or leaving for the day.

As you can probably see, my tastes are driven by the fact that I don't typically go for burgers and fries. If it offers another alternative, I'm there!

AK- Flame Tree BBQ (YUM!!)
MK- Casey's Hot dogs or Cosmic Rays
Epcot- we usually don't eat alot of counter service here. We snack or go to the Boardwalk
MGM- Pizza Planet (for our son) and our FAV is Back Lot Express. (AWESOME Turkey Sandwich)

Seems like MGM needs to do something about their dining options. I noticed many people didn't have a favorite cs restaurant there. :sad2:

The Pepper Market is by far our favorite CS. It is the best food and so much for you credit. They have several stations that you can pick from. We had steak and prime rib as our CS with all the trimmings. Great place!

MK: Pecos Bill's
MGM: Toy Story Pizza Planet
AK: Flame Tree BBQ
Epcot: Cantina de San Angel
:cool1: :hippie:
Going to go again to all of these places in Sept.
