Just wondering if any place at DL or CA has good pizza. I'm familiar with the really poor pizza offered at many WDW CS locations and if that's an indication of what is offered at DL (we are visiting in a couple of weeks) I'll pass that up.

So, how is the pizza at the park?

Redd Rockett's in Tomorrowland has decent pizza for inside the park. Naples in DTD has a little bit better pizza. I would say both are better than say Pizza Hut or any of the national chains.

A lot of peole have enjoyed the new location in DCA. Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. They serve flat bread pizzas so not traditional style.

In DL is Redd Rockett's Pizza Port it's more like what you find at WDW.

I actually really like Redd Rockett's, but then I am NOT picky about any kind of pizza! :rotfl:

My DH really enjoyed the pizza at Redd Rockets. I agree, after my few bites, that it is better than Pizza Hut. I had one of the pasta dishes (something with chicken and a white sauce) and really enjoyed that.

I personally find the Redd Rockett's pizza better than the new Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta pizza. But I'm not a fan of BBQ chicken pizza, so if that's your cup of tea, definitely go for Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta, DBF said it was awesome :thumbsup2

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I think that we will pass-up those places that are similar to the usual CS pizza we find in FL - not at all impressed with them in FL and there are so many other things to try while we are there!

If you're really craving pizza I'd wait until you get back to the hotel and order delivery.

I prefer Redd Rocket's pizza, and don't care much for Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta. I do like BBQ chicken pizza, but don't like the one at BWP&P - it wasn't very good, and I also don't like the flatbread type of crust. The four cheese ravioli with pesto sauce at BWP&P is really good, though.

We really, really, didn't like Pizza Port! Sorry! The flatbread ones are a little more tasty, but not as filling.

yeah... I'm not a huge fan of Redd Rockets pizza but I will eat it (the veggie is decent) on occasion because my kids like it there.

I prefer the flat bread pizza (pepperoni) at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta.

In DTD Naples has decent pizza - that is an alternatives to the parks.

I tried the flatbread pizza at boardwalk pizza and pasta and really enjoyed it. Red Rockets is just a little better than OK. I've not tried Napels but it sure looked good.

Pizza is a really difficult thing as some people really like thin crust while others think thick crust is the only way to go. Some like the BBQ Chicken pizza while others hate those "designer" pizzas. Not sure I can really tell you for sure what you are going to like.

Yeah the pasta at Pizza Port with the white sauce and chicken is called Chicken Fusilli. VERY delicious and very popular for that location. I order it every time. The pizza is good as well

There's also the Flatbread BLT Pizza at Village Haus in Fantasyland. I like it enough I have it for lunch about once a week (they have a cast member window and I usually work just a few yards away), and some of my friends agree. It has bacon, tomato bits that are marinated in something, caramelized onions, arugula, and shaved fennel - very tasty.

I agree that Pizza passion is funny. Mrs. Hound likes the designer pizzas. Padewan Alec likes the "dominos" type Red Rockets pizza. Many like the midwest deep dish style. I like the old style thin crust. Fwiw...I liked Naple's pizza (& the rest of the food there). But some who post DON'T like Naples in DTD.

OP you're from the Northeast, & probably can't swing a dead cat up there without hitting a great pizza joint. I would read yelp to see if there's some pizza in or near DLR that fits with what you like. :)

But after a long day at the parks.....i'll eat 5 pieces of any of the above.

Great info Jim. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to post our experience from our trip last weekend.

We never stopped for pizza! However, while dining at Napa Rose we did have the pizzetta appetizer which was absolutely wonderful!.

I loved Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta, though I guess it depends on your preferences. Boardwalk has a pretty thin crust.

I would suggest avoiding Redd Rocket's. For me, it was the worst pizza ever had. I would rather go to Little Caesar's and get a whole pizza for the price of one slice at Redd Rockkets
