Hi,Got this yesterday from the Editor in Chief Deb Wills of All Ears Net who just returned this week from WDW
-- A couple restaurant managers told me that Disney has heard
loud and clear the complaints from parents about the new,
restrictive, kids' menus. They will be morphing into yet another
version in the next couple months, with supposedly a few more
choices for kids.
Also talked to quite a few families who just returned and had no problem getting Chix Fingers, Fries, hamburgers and other items for their kids that were not listed in the Child Menu Choices.
My son , who is PDD and some oral sensory issues finds it calming to have familiar foods while at new and stimulating places, so if Chix finger and fries make him a happy little mouseketeer while at WDW then so be it. It is just 6 days out of 365 that he will eat this way and I sure won't be dining on raw veggies and lemon water each meal either. W go by the 80-20 method. Make good food choice 80% of the time and you can indulge with no guilt the other 20%. WDW will be our 20%.
When I look around it seems the adults are the ones that need more guidance in choosing food than the kiddos.
Give me crab cakes, steak and Creme Brulee and my thin active healthy 5 and 7 year old cold chicken and an apple. I don't think so....
