I am having a rough day so I decided to work on planning meals for our Feburary trip...WDW trip planning is what I do to relax. :D
I was wondering what were people's favorate counter service in Magic Kingdom and in Epcot and why.
thanks

Our favorite at Epcot is the Sunshine Season Food Fair in the Land pavillion. We like it because of the variety. It's not just burgers and chicken nuggets. Love the chicken caesar salad and the kids like the chicken parm.
At MK, we like the Columbia Harbor House. It's nice to sit upstairs and people-watch. It's always so nice and cool and not usually too crowded. The chowder is a family favorite.

Favorite counter service at MK is Peco Bill's. We love the food (especially the fixings bar with sauteed mushrooms and cheese sauce and the fresh veggies to top your burgers) plus there is plenty of room in the dining area. I can't stand to be all bunched up in a crowded dining facility.

At Epcot our favorite is the UK fish and chips stand. The fish is outstanding and we love to sit on a bench and people watch while we eat.

I'll second Allie322 on the Sunshine Season Food Fair (EPCOT), and Columbia Habor House (MK). We've tried most all the counter-service park restaurants and these are our favorites in these parks. We also love Tusker House in DAK, but have not found a counter-service place to our liking in MGM.

At MK, try Casey's for some of the best hot dogs around. If we do EMH at MK this is a great place to have lunch as your leaving the park at noon time to head back to your hotel. It is right off of Main Street. Cool room inside that has bleachers, and shows old cartoons.

At Epcot - Yakatori House in Japan. Good meat skewers, lovely gardens with koi fish in the ponds - and beer!

At MK, it's Pecos Bill's. Not for atmosphere, but for the chicken wrap. (MMmmmm... that'd be nice right now.. yes, it's 9:30 in the morning)

At Epcot, it's Tangierine Cafe in Morocco. Heathy and tasty--- and I've converted more than one person to the delights of Middle Eastern cuisine with this one. I'm glad it seems to be doing more business lately.

Good Luck with your planning!

Harambe, we're with you! We love CASEY"S!! It's a very relaxed atmosphere and the bleachers and movies are great! My 2 DS played the "vintage" baseball pinball machine for over 1/2 hr last time we were there! The hot dogs are great and for some reason the french fries are even more appealing here! The price is very reasonable!! We always hit Casey's on our trips!

At Epcot we love Sunshine Food in The Land and also, Tangierine Cafe in Morocco(great hummus and other plates). In MK we think Pecos is good for Burgers and the fixins bar and love Casey's hot dogs. Most variety is at Cosmic Rays if you have many folks with different tastes. We have used the quick and casual meal vouchers from connections and now floridaorlandotickets.com(you get entree, side and drink and dessert) at all but Casey's(not really worth the 11.25) and have often shared meal between two people.

We loved both Columbia Harbour House and Pecos Bill's in MK.

At CHH, we loved being able to sit upstairs by a window and look down at Liberty Square below. The atmosphere was not like a fast food joint at all. Very quiet with dark wood furnishings and nautical detail everywhere. Oh - and the fish and chips were very good also!

Pecos Bill's had great burgers and you can't beat that toppings bar. We got two double burgers and split between the four of us and we all had plenty. VERY economical meal.

The only counter service we tried at EPCOT was Yakitori House. The food was very good, but not very filling. My 12 yo DS got the largest combo plate on the menu and still walked away hungry. Next time, we'll try something else.

Cantina de San Angel in Mexico at Epcot - we always eat here at least twice every trip! Great margaritas, too. ;)

El Pirata y El Perico at MK - however, I just heard that it is now closed. My MIL & family was in WDW last week. One day it was open & when they returned 2 days later to eat there, it was closed. Seems kind of crazy that it would close while it is still so busy down there. My MIL said there were lots of people trying to eat there also.

MK - Pecos Bills is our fave for the chicken wrap sandwiches or the burgers with toppings.

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons Food Fair is our favourite in Future World. In World Showcase we like to get McD nuggets for the children (near Canada) and then the adults nibble their way around WS. We've found out the hard way that our children do NOT have any interest in trying all the foods in WS, so our best bet is to load them up with the nuggets or wait until we get to America.

DH's favorite in Epcot is Liberty Inn in America because they serve his favorite beer, Sam Adams. I thought they had pretty good burgers & fries too, with a good fixings bar.

In Epcot we love the Sunshine Season Food Fair, there is something for everyone there, and DS loves the fountain. In MK, we like El Pirata y el Perico which serves tacos and the like. We think it's pretty overlooked. We also like Casey's Corner, especially when the piano player is performing- he is very entertaining.
