Counter Service ideas- Hollywood Studios??

Any good counter service ideas for lunch??

Rosies near Rock and Roller coaster has a not bad cs, and I believe next to that is a pizza area too.
I think if I had a choice to eat there I would go to Pizza place and have a salad and a small pizza. The kids seem to like it also....
Backlot express is another one to eat at if you are hungry. It is over in the direction of Star Tours and offers a good selection of regular cs foods.....

Our kids like Pizza planet....not bad at all. Backlot is hit and miss....but we normally have gotten hot, decent food. Service there can be lacking.

The best CS at the Studio? Elsewhere.

While some are edible they are certainly not anything great. If you must go, try starring rolls, or something quick from one of the places near the Tower of Terror, or perhaps the backlot express.

We enjoy the Backlot Express and the ABC Commissary because you can go in and enjoy the AC.

We ate at both Backlot Express and ABC Commissary just last month and really didn't enjoy either. Got some sort of sandwich at Backlot which I suppose was edible at best and was served with cold unedible fries (DH got the fries, I chose carrots though). At ABC we got the Curry Ckn which was pretty much gross (DH comment).

Next time we will pay a little extra to just make an ADR for TS in Hollywood Studios or take the boat to a resort to grab something. No more CS for us at HS!

Pizza Planet for sure. We had Backlot Express one time and were extremely disappointed.

We have only eaten at Pizza Planet. My family is crazy about all the Toy Story movies! The pizza is tasty although not anything like what we can get in New England at local places.

I would like to hear from someone who's eaten at Starring Rolls. I like the looks of the menu!

I don't think you can go wrong with Pizza Planet. Since I don't eat pizza on vacation at Disney, a lunch at Pizza Planet is fine.

Where is Starring Rolls located?

It is on Sunset Blvd. As you enter the park walk straight down; then go right toward ToT, immediately look to your left and you will see Starring Rolls.

How hard is it to get from DHS to WPE for some of their pizza? You take the boat right? (Still trying to figure all this transportation stuff out!)

Yes, over all CS at DHS isn't good. We usually eat at Backlot Express but I think this year I am going to suggest to my family that we take the boat over to Yacht and Beach Club and eat at Beaches n Cream. Which my family LOVES. Don't know if they will go for it though.

the pork sandwich at studio catering company is fairly good, and the burgers at backlot express aren't bad. my DH is a plain, meat & potatoes kinda guy, and will eat at either place. we've also had a sit-down meal at hollywood & vine which was really crowded and unorganized (wasn't a character meal) but edible. wouldn't go back to that one. i'm tempted to try 50's prime time, but i don't know...gotta make ADR's monday morning.
