Counter Service for kids

Check the menus to be certain, but from what Ive seen here, kids dessert for CS is a sugar free gelatin dessert, and a nasty one at that from what I hear. Id just be prepared to share mine, or pop for an extra mickey barpopcorn::

Yes, they do get a dessert. Most places the SF gelatin is the only kids' choice. We were able to get bakery items at Wolfgang Puck Express and Artists Palette (at SSR, but they said that the jello was coming this week), and baklava was the only choice at Tangerine Cafe. We shared our desserts with the kids because the gelatin wore thin after the first day.

We just returned and at most places the childrens menu had only SF jello. We do not allow our girls to have SF things and we told this to the cashiers. Most of them just allowed the girls to have any dessert. We did have to wait for a manager at AK and she ok to any dessert also. I think it is crazy that adults can have cake and pie and the kids only can get SF jello.

I didn't try the SF jello since I'm not a jello fan but it must be fairly good because my 22 y/o dd and her 22 y/o friend ordered it as their desserts with their adult c/s meals every day for 9 days. The funny thing is she never has jello at home, we don't buy it, she doesn't buy it and she never orders it when we go anywhere. My ds5 and dd3 won't touch the stuff -- I think it's a texture thing.

We couldn't give it away :confused3 but some people must like it or I'm sure they would replace it.

I agree Sugar free Jello is loaded with chemicals, so much for worrying about our childrens health. Also this vacation, time to eat some good tasty desserts.

This is a great idea - my SIL is allergic to nutra sweet - gives her wicked headaches - and I imagine many other people are senstive to sugar substitutes as well. We will plan to ask if they have any non SF alternatives for DS, and if not, as the other poster said, we'll spring for the Mickey bar.

We learned on our last day that it does not matter for CS. Kids can order adult CS items, or adults can order kids CS items.

CS comes with a drink and a dessert no matter if it is kids or adult meals.
