I was just told on the chat feature that I can use 2 COUNTER service meals as 1 TABLE service meals. Is this true? I cannot find documentation to support this claim.

Unfortunately it's not allowed. I know you can use the ts credit for a qs credit but it seems like a waste.

I just went with the basic dining plan. We basically have an extra day of credits because we are arriving late due to being at Universal the first day of our trip and leaving mid morning our last day to come home.

Could you use your credit to eat breakfast so it's not wasted?

You could make a reservation for a place that requires 2 ts credits - that way you won't feel like you have wasted it. Hoop de Doo is great, so is lecellier . You could also use your last QS the morning you leave for breakfast at your resort .

Hoop de doo better than Luau for 4 and 6 yr olds? I wanted Mickeys Back Yard BBQ but its booked.

I have never done Luau- but I heard it is great. My kids loved Hoop De Doo when we did it - they were 5 and 7 at the time . They still ask to go back and it's been 8 years. I don't think you could go wrong with either - just make sure they eat the food. I don't drink - however at Hoop, I believe the beer and wine are included with your meal .

They use to offer a kid luau at the poly. Not sure if they still do it but I went with my son many years ago it was great.

that's completely incorrect. You can not combine quick service credits to use at a table service restaurant.

Just a thought depending on what time your flight home is. We always have extra QS credits left, so a few years ago we started a tradition. Our last day, we let the kids choose one last ride they want to ride before we leave (they have to agree ;) and they have gotten smart, choosing a park that has a couple rides they want to ride one last time :rotfl:). When we leave the park we head to DTD. We eat lunch at WPE and then spend a couple of hours shopping. We spend our extra snack credits at Goofy's Candy Co and then use our last QS credits at Earl of Sandwich :cloud9:. We get our meals to go, head back to the resort to wait for the bus and once we get to the to airport, we enjoy our sandwiches while we are waiting for our flight home. It has worked great!
If your flight leaves early in the day, using your extra QS credits for breakfast sounds like a great plan.:thumbsup2

One of my co-workers is at WDW right now. They did the luau on the first day, and her kids (all under the age of 10) hated it. They ended up leaving before it was over.

We actually found out we can save a quick service credit for our 3 year old at Animal Kingdom by going to Yak and Yeti (counter service) the servings are HUGE (from what I remember) and we share our meals we get there with her. Saves the credit for a breakfast for her the next day :)
