I’ve heard the options are limited! I don’t want to have to go to Epcot just to grab a quick bite. My kids are also very picky and only eat the typical “kid food” (Mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, etc)
What will our options be? How far a walk is it to counter service options at BC? TIA!

5-6 minute walk between the YC and BC lobbies

Here are some pictures of the menus at the YC Counter service place as of last year.

I don't know that mac & cheese or chicken nuggets are available at the BC counter service either, but you can get chicken nuggets at Hurricane Hanna's near the pool.

I stayed at the YC last Dec. The counter service had a small choice of sandwiches, and prepackaged foods. I did like the muffins they had for b/fast as well as the sticky buns. The walk to the BC counter service area wasn't far. It's nearly all indoors with only a short distance outside under the porch area. You also can get food at the Pool Bar. They have burgers and such.

I haven't tried it, but many people comment on going to the S/D for quick service. The menu is much bigger that YC/BC. I believe it's posted on allears.com.

I love he BC/YC, but really wish they had a better selection of quick service food.

If you are wanting Food Court type Counter Service you are not going to find that at either the YC or the BC.
I agree look at S/S menus

Hurricane Hannah's has burgers and chicken nuggets. The BC Marketplace sells individual Kraft Mac and cheese microwave cups. We made those a couple times for my son. The marketplace also has flatbread pizzas.

The YC market has some sandwiches and both YC market and BC Marketplace sell uncrustables.

Last year while at the BC my daughter was done for the day so she and I stayed back while everyone else went to AK for the evening. It was dinner time and she was craving Mac n cheese. I was able to get a to go order from Yachtsman steakhouse and we ate it in the room. It was so huge that we split it and it was so yummy that all she wants to do is return to get more of that mac & cheese...hope this helps! :)

We love the option of new YC counter service. Their scones are really good. Even if we aren’t staying there on an Epcot day we’ll take a park break and go there for a quiet place to sit and grab a drink and snack.

Between the YC and BC QS locations and Hurricane Hannah's out by the pool, you will have plenty to choose from without having to go to EP.

The lack of a proper counter service is my #1 complaint about BC/YC. I love these resorts, but yeah, the counter service options are a joke. It's barely a step up from a vending machine. We usually eat at the TS or head to a park.

P.S. - I don't eat sandwiches or pastries, so maybe someone who does may find the options delightful.

The Marketplace does not have a big selection, but we did enjoy the create-your-own salads and subs and also the flatbread pizzas.

This!! I love the resorts and area but there is no proper CS at YC/BC/BW which is crazy given these are deluxe resorts. For us, it is a huge issue because of food allergies. We cannot eat the prepacked sandwiches, salads, pastries, etc due to food allergies. We like to eat at CS as it is cheaper and easier to be spontaneous.

To the OP--years ago when we stayed at YC we walked next door to the Dolphin a few times to eat at Picabu which is a casual CS type place. They have great food and a nice variety and I believe they offer a discount if you are a AAA member too :-)

It sounds like you haven't been there is a while. :) They now make fresh Mickey waffles in the morning, along with scrambled eggs and bacon, sausage and the usual bounty platter with potatoes and biscuit. I agree that lunch and dinner options are greatly lacking, although the make your own salad and flatbread pizzas are made to order and not too bad. :)
