Counter Service at Resorts

We are on the DDP and are staying at POR. We made all of our
ADR's for the TS meals and have received some good suggestions
for Counter Service in the parks, but what about at the resorts?
We like to visit the other resorts and try to plan some meals there too.
We have TS meals planned at WL, YC, & CR.

Any good suggestions for counter service at any resorts?

Since you don't have a TS at AKL, you could visit there and eat at Mara. For a food court type place, it's pretty good. Often after eating at Boma or Jiko, we stop in for a chicken sandwich on pretzel bread and zebra domes to have the next day.

AKL is so fun to visit. The resort is just amazing with so much detail in the theming. You can walk out to several different viewing areas to see the animals and chat with the friendly CMs. The gift shop is one of the best at WDW.

I'll second Jiko wonderful for dinner! Order the filet with red wine sauce! It's the best!!! I prefer it to YC Yachtsmens House.

Does GF have any type of CS or food court for a quick breakfast or snack Also, does GF have any restaurant that is open 24 hrs

I'm also looking at various resort CS options. One that seems to be often recommended for good food & value is the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs, so I'll be giving it a try in October.

We had a lot of CS meals at POR and we thought the food there was very good. The taco salad was fantastic

We found the food at CS food court to be repulsive. Really not worth a special trip over. We think the best food court food is at All Star resorts, or the Contemporary resort quick food area.
