We are staying at Pop in early April and we have the Disney dining plan. I believe Pop is covered as counter/quick-service meal, right? Has anybody used this for Pop for breakfast.. and if so, what do you get? Thanks so much.

I was just going to post basically the same question. We are traveling to POP in mid-May on the Quick Service Dining Plan.

My question is more of a BEVERAGE question at the resorts. In addition to the use of the refillable mug Do you get a beverage choice with every meal at the resort. For example, do you get a bottle of Orange Juice?

Thanks!

Yes, it's covered as a counter service on the Dining Plan. And don't forget to try the frozen cokes (or frozen blue raspberry) as your beverage. Fun!

We only bought breakfast pastries there...loved the choc chip croissants! We did buy lunch there a couple of times & liked the food (cheeseburger platter one time, chicken soup from the Asian foods counter one time, and two different flatbreads another time.) Tye-dye cheesecake -- yum!

here's the Allears.net link to the breakfast menu...says it's from 7/2008 but keep in mind menus do change so prices/items may vary!

Yes, you get a beverage...the refillable mug is in addition to the beverage that comes with the meal. So you can get a frozen coke in your refillable and take a bottle water (or whatever) for your meal beverage.

We just got back from Pop on the dining plan. We used the counter service credits for breakfast. You get an entree or combo meal and 2 drinks.

Example of what we got:
Waffle platter, orange juice, & a chocolate milk
Adult breakfast platter, chocolate milke, & vitamin water
Breakfast pizza, orange juice & a vitamin water
Waffle with fruit, 2 chocolate milks
Waffle platter, powerade, & vitamin water

The best was to get drinks you can take into the park with you like the vitamin waters, powerades, and juices. We drank the milks at breakfast. I would also use my mug at breakfast for coffee.
Hope that helps. When it doubt just ask the cast member.

We were on the QSDP last month and stayed at Pop...on a few days we ended up splitting a couple breakfast combos and then taking the 4 drinks into the park with us. It was a nice way to supplement the case of water we had in the room and not waste a snack credit on a drink in the park. (we used the mugs for breakfast of course :) )

LOve / Hate relationship with pop!!

Refillable Mugs - use them at Pop - so you get 2 drinks for breakfast - we used them for OJ and dd wanted Powerade to take to the parks - then we used the OJ for "adult beverages" because I had packed vodka and rum in our travel luggage! :rolleyes1

For Breakfast we'd get the Deluxe adult Breakfasts - and share them (sometimes dd only wanted bacon!) its a lot of food!! Also, dh could get a made to order omlette made with eggwhites only!! GREAT deal!!

oh and they have red grapefruit as a choice too - something we felt we "splurged" on!!

Have FUN!!

(oh and fyi those frozen coke/blue frozens - POP closes them for "matainace" I forget the times, but I figure it is pretty regular - mostly at night I noticed them closed down! So I got to packing one of our mugs in my carry on to the parks, so when we returned to POP dd could get a frozen coke! (w/o going all the way TO the room, then to food court, then all the way BACK to theroom!)

Can you please explain the refillable mug a little bit more? Do you have a picture? What size is it? Is it like for a coffee mug? Or can it be used for water? How much is it? Thanks. :)

The refillable mugs are now just coffee size you use to be able to get both, you can still use them for cold drinks too!!!! I have only seen the pic once and cant for sure say but I think I remember seeing Mickey on them. You can use them for the whole time you are there and fill it with whatever you are allowed. :thumbsup2

Pop has a great food court. We generally split two meals between four of us and then use a couple of snack credits as well. For example a danish or bagle is a snack. The breakfast meals are good sized. I love their strawberry pancakes and always have to get those at least once! Another thing is that you can use a snack credit for a cereal, then have someone who gets a meal get milk for their beverage.

We always do two cs meals to share at breakfast and then another two for lunch in the park, then we have our 4ts credits to use for dinner. We are four fairly big eaters and we never end up having to pay oop for much of anything on the DDP. Its a lot of food even though its only two meals per se.

Have fun!

We have stayed at POP before and their breakfast was good...better than I expected! We all had something from a full blown meal with sausage eggs waffles fruit, etc. You will enjoy it. JUST BECAUSE IT's a value hotel..the food is great!

Not trying to hijack, but does anyone know if there is a separate menu for kids CS breakfast?
