Counter Service @ AK Other Than Pizzafari?

The title says it all, we've fallen into a rut at AK, Pizzafari is all we've had there for lunch, any new ideas?

We love Restaurantasaurus. That is our go to place. It has pretty good CS food, air conditioning, a big plus in our book.

I would recommend Flame Tree BBQ.

Both of the suggestions would be exactly what I would recommend. But you could also try Yak and Yeti.

Across the street from Tusker House: Its called Tamu Tamu refreshments and the turkey and swiss was wonderful! Milk shakes were a PITA because of the straw issue and how HOT it always is in AK.

Cheeseburger Basket - served with apple slices or chips $6.59

Turkey and Swiss on Focaccia - served with apple slices or chips $7.79

Tuna Salad Pita - served with apple slices or chips $7.99

Milk Shake - Chocolate or Vanilla $3.99

Chocolate Mousse $3.59

Sodas - Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Barq's Root Beer, Minute Maid Light Lemonade $2.19

We really enjoyed Yak & Yeti for counterservice. The portions were pretty big. DH ate his and half of mine.

Our only problem was that a good amount of the seating was being used with folks that had brought lunch in.

If it is hot, we do Restaurantosaurus just because I hate to eat outside when it is hot. If the weather is nice, Flame Tree is pretty good. And Tamu Tamu is as well.

Flame Tree BBQ!!! We are usually standing outside waiting for them to open up! Seriously. It's that good. Ribs are great, also a pulled pork sandwich that's wonderful. Salads look good, but honestly why eat salad when there's ribs and pulled pork, haha. Additionally, the seating areas are really lovely. If you walk down the path to the right, it takes you to a covered area on the water, looking out across to Everest. Really nice. One tiny issue - the birds are probably being fed too often and are becoming a bit agressive. Last trip I was ignoring a duck and he bit me on my Butt!! It was actually hilarious, but I can see for kids it might not be so funny. Jane

I agree with Flame Tree BBQ. We make a point to eat there every trip to AK. Love the food, the table/sitting area, the view of Everest across the water.....Only downside is being on-guard about the birds!

Another vote for Flame Tree. We like the chicken, and pulled pork sandwiches best--and also the frozen lemonade for dessert. Servings are very generous also.

Flame Tree is one of our favorites! My husband likes BBQ and I like salads--the menu was perfect! The kids are always happy too, but I can't remember what they get there.

Follow the path past the restaurant and it brings you down to a seating area right by the water. The view of Everest is great!!

Flame Tree is my go to place at AK. I've done Pizzafari for breakfast and last trip shared some pizza with family, but FTB is the best.
