Counter Service Advice

MGM....We liked Flatbread Grill. I had a chicken caesar wrap that was very good. This last trip we stopped for breakfast at Starring Rolls and it was good also...smoked salmon/cream cheese/bagels plus all the pastries the kids loved.

MK....We like Columbia Harbor House. Nice quiet dining room upstairs. The hummus/broccoli slaw sandwich was great and the kids liked all the fried fish and chicken options.

AK....We tried Flame Tree last time and it was quite good. I loved the ribs and again...nice quiet dining down by the river.

Epcot....You can't miss at any of the CS places around the World Showcase. Tangeriene Cafe is our favorite.

Have a wonderful time!! Our suggestions would be:

Epcot--MANY!!

Mexico --the salad is excellent (also a beautiful spot-on the water, tables outside-very nice and delicious churros!!)

Tangerine Cafe counter at Morocco--great value for the DDP, and delicious food....try to time it when Mo'Rockin is playing for some lunchtime entertainment!

Japan counter service--another beautiful spot with the Japanese gardens and waterfall for the outside seating. Our favorite spot. Delicious noodles and tempura shrimp

England-great fried fish and chips, and another nice dining spot with tables with a view!

I know I'm in the minority, but we just didn't love Sunshine Seasons--it is worth the walk for us to World Showcase for a really great lunch!

MK--Pecos Bills, hands down!--we also liked cosmic Rays for the variety

AK-Flame tree is wonderful--great views (again!) with the tables by the water, and food is delicious--we've tried every item on the menu and have loved it all! though we are looking forward to trying the new Yeti counter service-Asian menu looks interesting! and a great "bevy" stand there too for the grown ups!

MGM--well, sad but true. tough to find a decent meal, counter or table service here. stick with snacks (there are many great snack options at MGM--esp the smoothies at RNR)and have lunch by your resort pool during an after noon break!!--but if you must, ABC isn't awful. pizza planet is, IMHO, however.

Have a wonderful trip!! :goodvibes

MK - Columbia Harbour House. Love the fish and chicken. Nice and quiet upstairs, watching the people below.

Epcot - Yakatori House in Japan and Tangerine Cafe in Morocco are our favorites. Both have combo meals with good portions.

MGM - Usually do the outdoor market on Sunset Blvd.

AK - Always loved Tusker House, so we'll have to try something new next time.

DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express, hands down. The pizza is awesome. Probably the only place we have Pizza in WDW.

well nobody seems to like MGM CS food, whenever we eat their we always seem to end up at the 'abc'. good enough for a quick meal in the park

This is my family's first trip to DW (well my first time plannng as "the mom"!) I have already made our TS reservations but wasn't sure if we needed to make CS reservations? We will be using them mostly for lunches.

cs is pretty much fast food stands so you just get in line.

My vote would be Cosmic Rays in MK. We didn't eat any CS at AK or Epcot. I would not recommend the ABC Commisary in MGM...we got hamburgers and there were no toppings, not even pickles and the burger was very dry :headache:.
